It's not 'hearing' that these people lack, it is 'awareness' and a 'conscience' that they lack, denying basic humanitarian needs. I don't agree that 'Piers is evil', he's more sympathetic than we realise, he pokes just enough to get the interviewee animated, even agitated which brings out their passion even more. Bassam was able to drive home many, many points. The platform he has afforded to his guests in recent days has really enlightened the world to the plight of the Palestinians, but in order to do that, the banal and ridiculous stance of Israeli spokespeople also has to be shown in order to demonstrate the contrast and vast disparity in justice and equity being experienced between each side. It is a shame that Piers lied about mentioning the beheadings though, as the clip clearly shows that he did mention it quite specifically. Which begs the question what else has he lied about?

@@user-xp5id1kh4r Don't know if you are a troll, but in case you aren't, you will need to know the context of how the whole situation is being presented by the media and how Bassem exposed these biases and called Piers out on them. There is the difference between how Piers was talking to Palestine vs Israel supporters where Piers kind of had to give Bassem a level playing field. There is also how he called out the 'this is only happening because of Hamas' claim, and finally there is the outright refusal of Piers to say he said beheaded babies when in fact he very much did say so. I also think that even if you don't get all of this, it is very hard to call this 'unremarkable' due to the dark humour sprinkled throughout

It's still a mystery to me how even the State of Israel came to exist. But I wanted to comment on this Boring guy; I actually had the same feeling you are describing: contempt, disgust... He certainly believes he's talking to an animal, not the slightest sign of empathy, or even politeness. He'll go on to say he considers himself stupid (he states that Ben Saphiro has a higher IQ than himself, and, true or not, this is such a stupid thing to say) and you'll never see a change in his eyes, his posture; he is so absolutely convinced that he's superior to Bassem Youseff that he doesn't care. I was married to a Palestinian Christian. I hope you never forget that there are Christians in Palestine, which you never mention so don't be a part of the misinformation group by not mentioning the Christians. His immediate family left in 1950 and went to Jordan to live because the Israelis took my father-in-law's store, and just told him to GET OUT. Some of us live here in the Toronto Area. We have always had Muslim as well as Christian friends. (My husband died suddenly in 2019). I'm glad in a way he didn't live to see what is happening because IT would have killed him. I miss him so much. I was born here in Canada. He was such a good, kind, generous and decent person. I know what you mean when you talk about arabs.
