All 3 of those are Pea Puffers. Crawfish and Puffers are natural enemies. Puffers will eat them like crazy. But believe it or not the mini nano is too small for them and Pea puffers are schooling fish so they like bigger groups. I think like 5 in a 20 gallon is like the best or just a ton in a huge area. So after they get rid of the snails I would say move them in the pond with the others.
@huntercool22322 жыл бұрын
Agreed
@wickedmikes52812 жыл бұрын
This is correct. Dwarf pea puffers don’t really like to have tankmates other than a few other dwarf pea puffers, and even then, you want to use a lot of plants and give them hides. Crayfish and crabs will eat pretty much anything they think they can. My prediction here is that your puffers are going to miraculously disappear.

@MsVilecat Жыл бұрын
Thought exactly the same. My family and I used to go trout fishing each summer and the older rainbow trouts we'd find would regularly have dragonfly larvae in their guts. Those things look just like that. They're super useful as they love feeding on mosquito larvae.
@Wysdrem2 жыл бұрын
Not sure if it was mentioned, but Crawfish can be territorial, so there is a chance they killed the banjo since it is also a bottom feeder. So due to the tank size, might be good to not have them in there, just shrimp will be good as a clean up crew
@bardofely2 жыл бұрын

Don't forget to grab some weeds so the puffers can eat on that. They WILL NOT eat flakes. You will have to feed them live brine shrimp and live bloodworms or they will starve and die. Puffers don't eat the same as other fish. I can not stress that to you enough.
@bardofely2 жыл бұрын
I used to have puffers and had to keep them away from other fish cos they would bite their fins. You are right that they only eat live food.

All three are Indian dwarf puffers mostly ( Carinotetraodon travancoricus ), they will clean up the snails pretty quick after which you will have to feed them live foods like Tubifex worms, blood worms, mosquito larve etc., and you got to give them a bigger tank as once they pair up and start breeding they will start fighting.

I know I'm a little late but one snail can reproduce, they have both parts and can lay around 800 or more eggs a year and normally live for 3-5 years. So no matter what you do with the other on you are going to have baby's. Even though most are runts it's always better to either crush them so they don't have to suffer their whole life youblike you get a predator to eat them.
