I wanna press X to doubt on the all "Mist is a giant asshole". The western SRW community is pretty misinformed most of the time (people still think Banpresto is doing the game), and word of mouth spreads much disinformation. I wanna see a straight translation of his dialogues before judging him. Although at this point, I bet even the fan translators are gonna be biased and make him purposely worse than he is.

Hey! I myself know that Banpresto is technically not even around anymore! And, I can say with confidence that Mist's reputation as a very unpleasant and badly written character is in fact real. There is a reason there is a lot of memes about him in japan. For example, that moment that you might have heard of where he abandons the team considering Earth a lost cause while complaining how better his home planet was? Its actually real. Here is the line. From Scenario 20. 「こんな星、守る価値なんかない！ 俺はもう地球人のために戦いたくない！戦うなら勝手にやってくれ！ 俺は艦を降りる！」 And here is my rough translation of the line. "This planet, is not worth a damn fighting for! I couldn't care less about fighting for the earthlings anymore! If you're going to fight then do whatever the hell you want! I am getting the hell out of this ship!"

@@ForestGrantGaming It was specifically on a scene where Mist is asked by his love interest Angelica why he did not appear in the strategy meeting. And Mist goes on a whole rant about how earth sucks and how his home planet was so much better. Saying the line in question, though Angelica slaps him eventually. (She should have punched him.) EDIT: A correction on my part. He almost abandons the team but ends up not doing so.

@@MidoriNatsume Learning japanese is not exactly easy, but it does indeed open a lot of possibilities. ...I will say though, in the unlikely case that there is a fanmade translation patch for SRW K... I really get the feeling that such a translation has the possibility of making Mist far worse than he is in canon due to how absolutely hated the dude is.
