Scott, you jammed with me at the City Room in Frederick Md. Something like 35 years ago. Love seeing you getting up there with one of my favorite bands of my youth. Oh, and he was a great guy then. Super humble and plays what's appropriate even to our psychadelic acoustic space jams.

Scott! I saw you play with Spyro Gyra at the RFH in London about..ooh..20 years ago. Was an awesome gig and you were the best bass guitar player I have ever seen live.

Really interesting interview that covered a lot of ground. Fascinating to hear about Scott's approach to building basses and his slap techniques. You guys coped really well with the limitations of a video call. Thanks Craig!

I do not miss the 7-8 sets 6 nights a week grind. but playing that much will definitely keep your chops sharp.. The Bass player who's name you were referring to is Rashawn Westmorland ( what up fam ) .. Scott I've enjoyed your work every since I saw you early debut with Spyro Gyra at the Sam Robinson Musical Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida way back in the day.. BTW I still have my 82 Aria Pro II .. Now we have to remember when Anthony Jackson was doing those early Al Dimeola and Eye Witness sessions he was still playing his 67 Jazz Bass that he tuned down a 1/2 step to the B.

HI Steve, probably best sending a message direct to Scott for this answer as this isn't his KZbin channel and I doubt he'll see these comments. Thanks for watching!

Funny that. It's interesting how we all see things differently. For me, Ambush was occasionally too busy trying to finish his thought or playing example while the interviewer was moving to another idea. But then that slightly disorganised feel, especially with Ambush's long pauses and forgetfulness about how certain tunes go, made this a very organic conversation. I enjoyed it. But, as I say, it takes many views to make a world, huh?

@@hahabass When you ask someone a question during an interview you give them time to answer. Otherwise don't bother interviewing anyone. End of story.
