A TRIBUTE TO THE RETURN OF NECTAR!
So after everything that happened.... when we lost the beautiful community of people that would come together with Lorin across the world & connect through one of the best musical experiences of the modern age; it was heartbreaking. Reguardless of the truth of the whole situation, I hope that Lorin has been humbled by all of it & learns from his mistakes. Cancel culture sucks, but maybe its what gave him the wake up call he needed. Everyone deserves a chance to learn from their fuck ups, and with his return I hope that he did!
Bassnectar is one of the biggest musical influences in my life, His sound design and blend of HEAVY & WAVY is inspiring and food for the soul. My first Nectar experience was in 2014 at a one time festival in OKC, I then saw him later that year at Decadence, Followed by EF 2015, EF 2016, Middlelands, Freestyle 2017, LAN 2017, EF 2018, EF 2019, & LAN 2019 (His second to last set before he stepped away from music.)
This mix is in honor of the return of Bassnectar & to the memories I have been blessed to make at so many of his events with some of my best friends... I hope you guys enjoy the mix! :)

I was the only person who listened to it but I didn't care it was what I could look forward to and helped me find normalcy in a dark environment. Nectar got me through severe depression and an eating disorder, so the music definitely has a special place in my heart. That being said, I'm trying to hold out judgment until the legal stuff is over. I'm going to assume Lorin has a PR team that is heavily censoring/influencing comms while the legal stuff is still in play. OTOH, the comms/rollout from TOS has felt very scammy. But I'll wait until the legal stuff is over. It's a difficult and bizarre thing to grapple with if the allegations are true. It's hard to dismiss the benefits that Nectar brought to my life when I was at my lowest point over a decade ago.

I reserve any judgment in the accusations against him.
