I fish the rive behind my house 3 to 4 times a week and normally catch 4 or 5 when I go but the consistent large fish out of these small streams blows my mind. 90% of the fish where I live in streams of the same size are almost always brook trout. I'm now addicted to this channel.

I wear fingerless wool gloves up here in the Canadian mountains. Stay warm even when wet and for some reason they can keep the fingertips warm. You gotta take one off to handle the trout but whatever. Great video man. You’ve got that sidearm bass cast on lock!
@bassntroutfishing2 жыл бұрын
I think I might have found some gloves that will work but we’ll see.. yeah I’ve been practicing that sidearm cast. Now if I could only find some bass...

Spring 2022 HAS been a roller coaster ride of temps - 2 nice days followed by BRR. Mid-May in CT and the buds are JUST starting to show. Cooler temps are ok but the WIND! Nice to get out and catch 'em even if you have to dress up
@jeffwerth27072 жыл бұрын
Yes on the gloves - I got a low cost pair on ebay years ago where you can expose your casting index finger and reel index and thumb while your hand and other fingers are covered

Crazy - extends the trout fishing with temps but warm water means insects (aka food) hatching.

Great video! I have a question for you though. Is that creek stocked? I ask because years ago, I worked at a fish hatchery temporarily, clipping fins of brown and rainbow trout we found some weird deformities in some fish. Some were short and shaped like a gold fish and others shaped like a hockey stick or s shape with that weird bend in the spine. Seeing that deformed fish you caught, reminded me of those deformed fish in the hatchery.
@bassntroutfishing2 жыл бұрын
Yeah since those are hybrid fish they’re stocked when they’re fingerlings. The browns are wild though.
