Here's how to fix line twist in spinning reels while you're bank fishing. This is an easy way to fix tangles while shore fishing with spinning gear. And it works!! I was really surprised to learn there are only a couple of videos on this, and NONE of them show this simple technique!

Wow…that actually worked! A whopper plopper really twisted my line. (I'll add a split ring and barrel swivel to it from now on.) The method in the video helped virtually eliminate the line twist! Thank you!

That was a great tip for bank Fishermen. In a Boat, let the free line out in the water. The line untwists as you are reeling it back in. Most of the line twist is on Spinning Reels. Just remember to Manually flip the bail, to engage the line.

I use a key ring and a swivel. Either have someone hold the key ring or hook it so something like he did here

There is a much easier way to do this. Cast your line out. Pinch your line between your pointer finger and thumb fingernail and reel back in. This will eliminate any line twist in mono, fluoro, or braid.

I always take my spools of my reels. Slide them on a small plastic rod with a L bend on one end. Then I have a drill bit with a rubber wheel attached to it. Touch it to the spool and fill it up. Or.. On your way across the lake, have nothing on your line and let it out. Then reel in. The twist will be almost gone.
