flip was THE TEAM back in the day. Geoff, Tom, Arto, Rune, Pj, Ali, Bastien Mark. All the biggest hitters. The golden era to me. Those videos changed skateboarding.

So many parts of this made me smile. Love his honesty and the history. Thank you, Nine Club . Questions were on point. I saw him compete at one of those big Euro contests just after the Sorry video release and at that point in time, he was unstoppable. Early to mid 2000's, he was the best contest skater in the world. It's weird to be proud of someone you don't really know, but I am of this dude. Such a ruler. All the best for the future Bastien. Always hyped to see something from you.

that was an awesome episode. I really respect his decision to leave Huntington for Europe. Seems Bastien was always motivated by new experiences and doing the shit that was best for him. admirable dude with a great story // always loved the flip videos. I remembered when Sorry came out. It was one of , if not the biggest skate video at that time. Johnny Rotten announcing the skaters, classic. Everybody I knew watched that video religiously before skating, and Really Sorry. Bastiens part was right up there with every big pro during that time.

I remember when I turned Eurosport channel and they were showing the Dortmund contest, hitting record on VHS and ruining my brothers movie, Bastien was skating, being from east Europe we didnt have access to videos, so me and my friends watched that contest every day for years, Bastien is a legend and as I can remember he won that contest at 14 years old. And yes, where Im from its called a bastien flip not a pretzel.
