I'm honestly very surprised that anyone would use a rock piled wall to stop an out of control airplane in the area beyond the runway. It is a monumental stupidity, and for them to argue that other airports have the same flawed design just adds insult to injury. Official involved should be fired or jailed for professional misconduct.
