I watched this video a while back, before I had any gear. I’ve since picked up a few POs, and for Christmas this year I got a Kastle. This morning I went back to the video for a refresher, then synced up my Kastle and Speak with basically no trouble. It’s really exciting to me that they’re working together - thanks for posting the method so clearly. Now to get the volume of the Kastle under control!

Aidan Burns-Fulkerson thanks for the recommendation! I’m planning to order one of those little adjustable attenuators, but I’ve figured out a workable setup in the meantime: I’m using a p0k3t0 splitter to run the Kastle’s audio through my mono submixer while sending the clock signal separately to my POs. I’m having a pretty ridiculous amount of fun:)

Lovely video. I just got the Kastle yesterday and have the same two Pocket Operators as you do. I'll be hooking them up this weekend! So far I've used the Kastle with a pair of Moog Mother 32's.

THIS is the video I needed to see. Was ordering one anyway but the sync demo gives me an extra sense of security lol. So the volume thing is a PO issue. Was chalking that up to user error. I def need to dig into my POs more. Smoking less herb may help too.. nahh. Thanks for the demo!

Is the Bastl slave or master clock?? coz no matter what i try,,,i cannot make the Bastl slave to my po and Volcas,,,it has to be the other way around with Bastl controlling the tempo…driving me nuts as i need the Bastl last in line so to speak..any advice???

hey mate, thank you for the demo ... I am still not able to solve my problem. I am trying to sync the PO-12 as master tempo because I need to know exactly bpm, and since u are using also anoher PO, I don't understand where does the master tempo come from. at the moment I found that if I connect cables exactly as you did (only kastle and PO-12, without the PO arcade) they are synced and I solved the volume issue thanks to you... but kastle is the master so that the PO-12 goes crazy. I'd like kastle to be slave of the PO-12. can you help?

I tried now and it doesn't work. the audio is routed to the kastle and it works even if the volumes are not mixable, but there is no sync. if you are able to solve it please drop me a line cos I'm going crazy! thank you :)

Hey guys :) thank you for this thread. I was actualy looking for that. I also think it's because of the Kastle needs a CV input of 0-5V like you said. And the PO can't output CV :s Maybe have you got any news or idea to make this work? cheers

Aidan Burns-Fulkerson what type of cable would I need to be able to record the sounds from a PO-32 to my BR-800 digital multitrack recorder in order to hear output in both left and right channels? I'm still learning, sorry if it's a stupid question.

Hey! So I just picked up a Kastle and Korg Volca Keys, and plan on getting a PO-12 sometime soon. I've seen videos of something that looked like the Kastle being filtered through a Keys. I tried doing something similar, linking them with the Sync In/Out on the Keys and I/O port on the Kastle. Unfortunately I can't seem to hear audio from both of them at the same time. Do I need a mixer? Any idea how to get that filtering to work?

@@AidanBurnsFulkerson ah yeah, that seems to be the case. I went back and watched the video and it seemed like it was actually through a monotron oops! Just another question real quick; I have a PO-12 now as well, and I've been trying to sync it to my Kastle. I do what you show in the video, but for some reason over time the BPM on the PO-12 starts to have a swing to it. Even if it's connected to the LFO pulse wave, it starts to stutter around a bit unti it's not on beat. Do you have any idea what that could be? Thanks for the response by the way!!

Neat little jam and informative! I just picked up a Kastle and the po arcade! I was wondering if you know how to have the bastl in the middle of a chain of synths as a slave? Or possibly the last on the chain that it still carries the audio signal from an adjacent po?

It seems sort of cheesy that you have to toggle things around to get the POs to set the right volume.

Hi, this video inspired me to order! I have some issues though with sound volume. Whatever I try, in sync4 Kastl is too loud. It's completely dominates po-32. Is there any way to deal with it? Your Kastl seems less loud :P

I didn't think I wanted to get a Kastle, but after watching this I'm not sure. Should I? It seems hard to make something that sounds good on it. You're one of the few I've seen that make it sound good.

its a beautiful instrument i wholeheartedly recommend it. the bitranger seems like a better version of it so if you can afford that look into it. the softpop is fucking INSANE
