BAT ACTIONS are awesome. I have been using their actions from even before they went to CNC machines many years ago. The first action I bought from them was a 2 inch x 10 inch monster that I still have and shoot on a competition gun. Bruce and Darrell are as solid as their actions and I recommend them to anyone. And to those who think they can just blueprint a Remington for a 1/3 less well first off it is hard to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. When you get done you still got a sow’s ear for a 1/3 less. THINK I will just stick with the people that want to build great stuff from the beginning. Thanks to all at BAT for all you do!

Fluting the Bolt doesn’t have anything to do with weight savings (though it’s a good bonus.) The Fluting helps cycling the Action in Arctic Environments where Temperature fluctuations can cause the Bolt to freeze shut. 🥶

So many options and features to customize. It would be nice to have the ability to change the bolts face size for those who use the same rifle for differnet calibers. Also, having a tool less removable shooting pin will be great. As for ejection, you can have a mechanical controlled ejection for those who don't want the case to fly 3 feets away. I think American rifle company, Kelby, and big horn use this method. I am still lost between the differnet choices in market. So many custom actions and many of them are good. BAT, Bighorn, Kelby, Fusion peak, ARC, Gunwerk, so many to count. But by reputation among shooter, BAT, ARC and Bighorn are loved by all people. I need more time to compare 😭

Enjoyed this video. Just wanted to point out something that made me laugh though. 11:06 "Chooing a bolt knob." It took me like three minutes of backing up to figure it out. I knew there was something wrong, but I just couldn't get it to click in my brain until I backed it up multiple times.

Too bad they're stupid expensive. I could buy a remington 700 action, and blueprint it myself for 1/3 what one of those actions cost.

Remington 700 action blueprints can work well in hunting applications, custom made BAT Actions come with many additional features, that tailor them to specific buyers needs.

Do you make these BAT actions in .50 BMG as well? Or Russian 14,5×114mm?

H K There is one for the fifty. It may work on the russian caliber, compare the base diameter of the cartidge

H K The 14.5x114 would be considered a Destructive Device I believe since it is over 50 caliber.
