To me this is their attempt to make their own version of the Batman animated series and probably an apology for repainting the first White Knight version of the batmobile. It's a win in both ways and three because of that sick transformation as you said. Looks like a comic version of the animated series I picked this up for $20 because someone accidentally put it out with the clearance stuff too early 😁👌🏽.

I have this Batmobile and I'm a fan of this design, and even of the transforming gimmick. I just wish it could have been given the option to close the cockpit down while also keeping the armor panels closed together. That way it would look relatively more comic book accurate. Batman rarely drives a Batmobile with the top down.

You can make an easy mod on this. Just uncscrew all 8 at the bottom to access internal mechanical. At the cockpit section below there are hinges connected. Just unscrew and remove those 2 hinges and you are done. I just modified it right after i bought it. An easy fix it took only around 5 minutes job. Hope this would help.
