Love your entire setup. Probably my favorite of all the “hot tent” videographers. Just seemed to make sense and your tent configuration was great.

Definitely not the best tent for those conditions. Maybe a dome shaped tent would have been better, but overall, a decent video👍

Beautiful scenery! What beautiful weather. So many lovely pictures of the snow and the trees, thank you. I appreciate what a considerate camper you are. You did not cut living trees, just dead trees, and you even packed your stove ashes out. The salmon looked delicious!

Wow 😲😳. That's a lot of snow ❄️. We just got maybe 2 inches today. It's the biggest amount of the winter, so far. Feb 16,2024. Hello from Indiana USA and this 62 year old lady. I'm a big fan of you. Thanks for sharing this with me 😊.

too bad you didn’t have a bigger tarp to A frame over your main tent, that way the snow would never be able to stick and would slide down both sides of the tarp. l currently live off grid in colorado and had to learn to live in these harsh conditions real quick or die. great video, thanx.

The Stovehut is a fine tent, I use mine quite a bit. But it is NOT designed for that kind of snow loading. I would not recommend that tent at all for heavy snow like that.

Love camping in a snow storm. This is THE smallest hot tent I have ever seen. Here in the US a small SEEK OUTSIDE titanium tent stove would also work. Thanks for this video. TIP: Learn to use XC skis. They take FAR less energy and time per mile/kilometer. Snow Load is always a problem in storms. Are you in Hokkaido?

Not a good tent for the snow. It does not look very durable
@tomconcitis932211 ай бұрын
Agreed, a single pole teepee tent would be more better to shed the snow. And, the awning flap complicates the pooling of the falling snow. If the snow continues through the night, the tent will surely collapse again.

Something that I don't get in these videos is, why snowshoes instead of skis with skins? They are much much better in deep pow, and you save lots of energy. No one uses them, and as a splitboarder, I avoid snowshoes 99% of the time.

A tent is better than nothing, but with all those nice, strong trees, you could have pitched a hammock and a tarp a lot easier, and it would have been more comfortable. Just bring a little gas stove...

It surprises me that being Japanese or Oriental who consume a lot of rice does not know that once cooked rice should be consumed all and not save leftovers to consume later because it becomes somewhat toxic and generates elements that are harmful to health and even changes the flavor of the rice freshly cooked, be careful and do your research.
