Ollies, kickflips, impossibles, nollie back 3s and so many other tricks are freestyle tricks that are allowed. Aside from the bean plant every trick was legal including the wet stop. It’s not a manual he’s literally balancing his weight over his truck and reverting. Andy is a breathe of fresh air to these stale regulated games of skate. Be different and not a robot

Andy's "Wet Stop" doesn't break any actual rules, and it's not even close to being a manual. This was a case of "oh well clearly nobody else can do that so it's not allowed" bullshit.

Wet stop isn’t illegal it breaks no rules and before you even try it the rule is “no tricks that slide on the ground if your opponent popped his trick” Andy set the trick and didn’t pop therefore the rule is negated

There’s rules to keep the game interesting otherwise it’s of putting to any sort of order based sport. I just don’t see how people promote this when if you want to do creative things and be weird go use or play in a different event that promotes it and gain followers. Not come and make a fool of yourself on front of people who want to see the rules be followed and see a fair game. Because if there was no gentleman’s games I’m sure we would see a lot of pressure flip variations that no one can defend and makes the whole event pointless.

There’s a big difference. Mike V said he’d only compete if he could do his tricks, and went up against a pro who was capable of doing some of them. Who also approved of said tricks going in. The biggest difference is, Mike V never won. So it was never a big deal. I always felt both Mike V’s battles were a bit “scripted”. Kind of like Maltos unsanctioned battle.
