Hi Aussie. This is an incredible script you've created. In my Revit 2019 something is happening in between the snu/sna code block (which works fine to show the list of my sheets) and the Multi Input Form, where the UI pops up but there are no sheets listed. Do you have any idea what might be causing that? Best regards
@AussieBIMGuru2 ай бұрын
Hrm hard to say, Revit 2019 is very old now so I suspect the package is no longer tested there. Might need to take this one to the forums potentially.

Hey Gavin, Out of Topic Question. But it's about exporting 😁. Do you know what's the difference in the IFC file exported from ArchiCAD Export Addin with Revit's default? The client requested specifically from that add-in and I'm not sure how to emulate that from Dynamo.
@AussieBIMGuru4 жыл бұрын
I believe it has slightly more efficient results - I don't believe it is different RE information exported (depending on how you've set up your data anyway) but in my experience the geometry is usually more complete and less errors occur from that plugin.

There is only one way, from revit to dwfx for 2d and 3d nwc or ifc, when the building is built make some pdf/a1. When you build a dwg, build them in the same place as the 3d model, so in XY-plane and XZ / YZ plane, only Tekla I now that have some option. But with dynamo....
@AussieBIMGuru4 жыл бұрын
In this case the Dynamo export is using the same export options as Revit itself, so the internal/shared coordinate system is essentially managed in the same way. I'm aware of the challenge you've mentioned and as far as I know making sure the internal origin is coincident with other authoring programs is the best method. Almost never ends up being done this way unfortunately.

Good script Gavin...!! Can you make a video on how to batch link cad and Revit files at once...It will be helpful if you add it to your bucket list..🙂

I would check out the thread/workflow here as a starting point - someone may have solved the DWG component of the workflow already. forum.dynamobim.com/t/link-multiple-dwgs-create-drafting-view-for-each/48449 RE Revit files, there should be a few packages that can do this, some are discussed here; forum.dynamobim.com/t/batch-link-in-revit-models/33999/6

@AussieBIMGuru4 жыл бұрын
There is a node in the same package for printing PDF.
@sujanmaharjan91824 жыл бұрын
There is a node in the same package but for naming you to need to some tweak in your PDF export driver I like to use PDFCreator and adjust Filename and FileDirectory setting.
@Martim893 жыл бұрын
That's very usefull and seems to be clear. But where I can find the way to produce thos two nodes? ('DirectoryPath Data' and 'Listview Data') If you could explain that part or to refere to any previous video of yours that would be amazing. Thanks
@AussieBIMGuru3 жыл бұрын
You need data shapes for those nodes. I discuss this at 1:15.

Hi Aussie, may I know are there have anyway to manage Link Revit Model to Export DWG with different Layers order? Because we used serval link Revit Model into a Sheet Files and the order of the Link Revit Model became a BLOCK in DWG. And the Block in DWG were in a wrong order (Which I cannot find anyway to control). Thanks
@AussieBIMGuru2 жыл бұрын
Not that I am aware of. It might be a matter of using LISP to rearrange layers in AutoCAD afterwards as Revit has limited DWG export ability.

I am looking for 3D views export to CAD for multiple Revit files. What kind of alteration need to do to get it done
@AussieBIMGuru4 жыл бұрын
This workflow should also work for 3D views. If you need to do multiple Revit files at once you would need to use an 'open in background' process. Such nodes can be found in the orchid package.

Hello Gavin. Did you ever face a Shared Coordinates problem when exporting? I mean when you export sheets its always loosing correct UCS.
@AussieBIMGuru2 жыл бұрын
Usually it comes down to how you set up your origin in Revit versus AutoCAD, and the project vs true north rotation. I've found some projects will work, others wont and usually it's because the internal origin isn't in a good location in Revit versus AutoCAD. There doesn't seem to be a reliable way to export between the two in my experience as getting the internal origin right is difficult in Revit given it isn't movable.
