Bateman and Kalinowski round 1 truly felt like a round 1 of old school schmoedown between big time rivals! So hilarious, so intense, lead changes galore, and great trivia being asked. This was one of those all timers for me because of how much hype was behind it from a character sense and how great the match was with character work inside of it.

This might be my favorite rivalry since Rocha-Mantz. Back and forth was amazing. Big Cigar Mike is my favorite mythical schmoedown player.

They should have challanged, Lara and Laura are completelty different names. You can see Yodi's expression when he realised that he actaully had the incorrect answer. That one point would have really made a difference.

@@neednono I considered it but thought the pronunciations were close enough that I’d might lose the challenge (couldn’t see the spelling). With Vowels it’s much more precarious than an added/removed consonant

@@amarumoses13 makes sense, also, in the competitive enviornment, I am sure, such small things are not easy to keep track off. We at home can simply rewind and see these things. But based on what happened with JTE for having that extra 'n' and getting penalized. I sure hope this would have been your favor, as in the end Lara and Laura are different names.

I enjoyed both matches but the second match was really more enjoyable for me. It's not about the trivia for me, I just enjoy their characters and how they can stay in character whilst correctly answering questions. Ben hamming it up in round 2 killed me. I loved it.

Man this teams division is booming!! There are 20 teams that have played or will play (not counting retired teams) this season, 9 of them have wins, and The Dojo is just another incredible addition to what will be a fierce division around tournament season!!

Danger Zone vs King Arthur for #1 contender match!!! Let’s go!! The two highest ranked teams that were both rookies last season! We could very realistically be looking at a double belted Bateman by the end of the summer, which would be awesome and very much deserved for one of the consistently best players, characters, and students of the game! But the road to a Danger Zone title is gonna be TOUGH and Bateman has to go through 2 former champs who haven’t missed a question this season.

Considering Ridley Scott only directed 7 films in the 2010s, with those three supporting cast members given, it was insanely easy to work out which film it had to be. That being said, I also thought scores and soundtracks question was fairly straightforward too. Great couple of matches this episode, can't wait to see King Arthur back!

@@TheMerlotLine Honestly, I didn't know the exact number he'd directed, but it's the most recent decade so I at least have an idea of what his most recent films are, even if I can't name them all in 15 seconds. Then you're given 3 supporting cast members, 2 of whom are Latino/a. So even if you didn't know they were in The Counselor but had basic knowledge about the film you'd know that a substantial part of it takes place in Latin America/on the border. None of his other films from that decade have that setting, so using the information given and context clues, the logical answer is that it has to be The Counselor. And if I can work it out like that then most of the players should be able to; this is The World Championship of Movie Trivia after all 😉

The start of the season is always good! And i think for the history of the schmoedown there should be a playlist of must see matches on the channel. And If you search for schmoedown profiles there should be some history of videos on certain players and one on the singles belt, but those are a couples years old. I wish that they could find a way to do a history series on the channel every season to make it more digestible to new fans!

Loved Winston as the angry uncle, freaking love him lol. Well, I'm just glad the Undercard match wasn't horrible. I was hoping it would work out, but Moses and Klee don't work as a team at all. There is no chemistry there at all. I don't know if The Dojo will be a real team but I'll be more convinced when they go against better teams. Winston was the best thing about the match, his character was killing me LMAO! Overall, I'm glad we got a SWAG match though, they are always entertaining. I knew the Bateman vs. Mike match would be a mess, both were maxed out with their annoying shticks the entire match. This was just another match showing they both clearly don't like each other, which made both of them act even more ridiculous than they usually do (Especially with Bateman swearing so much. That's the most cussing we've had in a while lol) I didn't care who won this match, but like I said before I'm pretty sure Marisol is going to destroy Bateman. Glad she didn't let Bateman talk during the post match interview too, just STFU already. We have heard it all before a million times zzz. Hopefully Griffy Newms shows up for a #1 Contender match instead of all these leftovers matches with Mike and Bateman. Ahh, of course Danger Zone vs. King Arthur. Even more Bateman, shocker! Well, at least Murrell and Newms will be there too. It's the 15th episode of Titans and Mike and Bateman have been in almost all the episodes. I'm feenin badly for other competitors that have been MIA, get in this studio now!

This was most likely recorded before the IG championship match. Most of the time the planning is so well done, we don't even realize they are filmed out of order (most likely due to scheduling of the competitors). But this time it didn't work out as well. But as long as it's just a minor detail in his entrance like here, I can overlook it. would have been strange if he walked around with the IG belt the whole time, or bragged about it in the post match interview.

I'm pretty biased this year. Not gonna lie. I'm sorry. I appreciate Mike as a fun guy, I actually like Korruption way more than I did when I first met them. They've been through a hell of a lot this season, but they get stronger and stronger every day. Here's the thing. Every time I see Ben on the ring and people start booing at him, I'm forced too as well. However, I actually confirmed him as one of my favorite players in the Schmoedown. I think he's very strong, I just wish he stayed in the Dungeon. It bothers me to think the way he roasts people. I don't know, I just get up all my head about it. Why can't he build up players instead of shutting them down? Because he wants the championship. It's funny that he got David Fincher as a round two category 'cause I just watched The Social Network and I knew the answer to what that question was! LOL! I think outside of the Schmoedown, he's a nice guy. Movie critic, handsome dude, singer-songwriter, and everything you want in a classy man. I'm going to see him perform in Seattle which is very fun! 😁Anyway, hope the first show went well! Hopefully something will come along for him to humble himself.

I mean I guess, to be a film critic is an art of its own when done correctly, and besides, none of the people on this episode are critics. Many of them talk about movies and some review movies, but that is different from a professional movie critic, and it takes a different skill set to act than to be someone who is good about talking movies.
