@mm I’m not the guy was a crucial component for Inter’s treble win, he was very good at Madrid aswell. And netherlands got very close to winning at an international level with Sneijder in the team. The guy was quality and incredibly consistent. And he has a case to be a Ballon d’or Winner over Messi in 2010. Although in that Inter team Eto’o and Milito does also have a case. The guy is a legend of the game, just because he isn’t aswell remembered as some legends like Pele, R9 and Ronaldinho. Doesn’t mean that Sneijder isn’t one. Also you do realize that Essien is an Icon? Right? (but the likes of Papin, Toure and Sneijder all three had a better career then Michael Essien, Papin even won a Ballon d’or. Now i don’t personally have an issue with Essien being an icon i thought he was a great and very good player for a good team, but the issue with Essien, is the that players more deserving of Icon titles got hero cards and Essien became an Icon and no Sane person would claim that Essien is a bigger legend then someone like Yaya Toure.
