What a sweat heart. Awakened women so often share at the heart level while men so often share from the mind. There are so many more men who are inspired to express and explain than there are women it is precious to hear a woman express an open heart. We need this balancing for our growth. Too much mind not enough heart is cannot be an expression of Wholeness. Beautiful, thank you Rick.

Hello Rick I am the guy that left a message on your Clare Blanchflower interview page asking you to interview Ganga Mira and i am glad you listened/did it. Great Interview. I have another information for you. There is an Indian Mystic/Guy in San Diego that doesn't teach or write books or anything like that. From what i understand he is strongly against any commercialization of spirituality and a breath of fresh air amidst all this. I think you will be doing a service to many serious seekers if you can secure an interview with him. Not sure if he will agree, but you can try. If interested let me know and i will see if i can get permission to give out his email.

I passed to Rick all the information i knew and Rick told me that he will get in touch with me when his guest submission opens up. My understanding is that he has a schedule of interviews that he is working on. You wouldn't have heard about him because he does not have a website and does not try to promote himself. Few people are aware of him.

A lovely discussion. Planet earth has a chronic shortage of Realised teachers. I live in a city< Brisbane>, Which has approx 2million people and is full of seekers but struggle to find one genuine awake person here. Heeelp. Thank you both this was very helpfull .
@waterkingdavid8 жыл бұрын
Its in you James. Discipline your mind. Overcome selfishness. Care for others. Cultivate this in yourself. Looking for "genuine awake people" is a waste of time. Personally I am not even convinced this woman is fully awake since she seems so focused on handing over everything to another person Papaji. We are all equal in terms of reality. The worshiping of others is a waste of time. Love and care for them yes. But worshiping and surrendering to them no. All good things.

Thank you David. you seem to be recommending a' Path' to clarity. After 40yrs of seeking i have come to realise all doing is a moving away from what is. Mind thrives on doing,seeking etc. Stop, you are already that. Best regards.

Thank you for your and your team's work, Rick! I discovered your channel a week ago. Very inspiring! Surely a highlight is your talk with Mooji. A word to your webcam-technique: The records are very professionell and perfect. I like most if there a two screens in one to see you and your guest simultaniously, because your reactions and the one of your guests are better to see and this is more realistic and vivid. (Different in this video.) All the best, Volker

Thanks Volker. I used to do the 2-screen thing, and can do it. The images don't completely fill the screen when I do that, so it doesn't look so good. But maybe I should do it occasionally.

Rick, I would like to seed in the idea of interviewing two female teachers in New River Valley, US. a) Anna Pittman. She lives in Blacksburg, runs her own little yoga studio and in a very feminine - no claims, totally present, and brutally authentic - way is holding space for her community in New river valley to wake up. b) Roshi Ellen Birx - She is a gentle Zen master, author of 3 books (Healing Zen, Selfless Love, and Waking up together), and lives a very humble quiet life with her husband Roshi Charles Birx in Virginia. A truly down to earth and humble woman. She is the kinder one among masters and helps people wake up - much like a grand mother wakes a little baby up.
@GargiSingh38 жыл бұрын
I meant that Roshi Ellen is the 'gentler one'. All masters are kind- I sense. :)

@adrianacosta86458 жыл бұрын
@umamoon55858 жыл бұрын
Tenés razón Adriana, fue de apurada que obvié el tilde. Te lo dije con buena onda igual, no te lo tomes a mal, suerte! (lo del signo atrás lo voy a seguir haciendo, me es mucho más cómodo) :-)
@adrianacosta86458 жыл бұрын

Hey Rick, was wondering if you have ever imagined interviewing Ramana Maharishi? It seems his teaching is at the root of all the people you interview. I feel you must have met Ramana on many occasions through all of the people you meet. How would you introduce him and what questions would you have for this self-realized saint.
@searchsummit8 жыл бұрын
If I were to meet him, I'd probably just want to sit in his Presence, and not start peppering him with questions. After doing that for a week or two, and properly settling in, maybe I'd have some questions, if he were willing to entertain them.

Someone rightly asked me - What does the spiritual awakening give you? What is the advantage of spiritually waking up? I am not talking of cases like Sri Eckhart Tolle or Byron Katie where someone is critically depressed and is chronically suffering. I am talking of the cases where people are more or less "normal", "functional" and are reasonably "happy". And, believe it or not, there are many such normal, functional people who are reasonably happy, peaceful and content.
@spiritualanarchist81628 жыл бұрын
"Someone rightly asked me"...I really doubt that .Do you ever actually notice the way you construct your sentences? "Rightly asked me..." Because you are the "One" to ask,,right? (ly)
@TransferOfAwakening8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your time, "Spirtual Anarchist" or "AdvaitaNr2" or "whatever you prefer to be called"! By "Someone rightly asked me", I meant the following: 1. He was right in questioning the practical value of awakening. 2. He was right in questioning me about it because I was the one talking to him. However, I have another question for you and I ask it without any ill intention. I have realized that many people on these forums and sites and many interested in spirituality are deeply suffering mentally and in some cases, even physically. Some can be termed medically ill. In most cases, it is not really their fault but it greatly colors their thoughts, perceptions, experiences and interactions. Not yet having been trough these severe physical and mental conditions myself, I now think that I might be unable to fully understand their view points, perspective and thoughts. I didn't know that in the beginning but as I dealt more and more, observed and as people themselves told me, I became aware. I still wish everyone well but now I realize that some people are in very different physical and mental plane and the reality they experience is widely different and in many cases, far more difficult than the one I experience. Dear SA: Have you ever had schizophrenia or hallucinations? Do you feel very depressed? Do you feel very lonely or sad? Do you feel very anxious or do you get panic attacks? I ask these questions because I have begun to realize that I can feel great compassion, I can have true, genuine prayer, respect and can have true desire to help but I can't really understand what people under these conditions go through and how the world that they experience is so different from one that I experience. Now, I have begun to wonder that perhaps, meditation, spiritual reading and spiritual realization alone is not enough to truly heal these conditions. Perhaps, these are real medical conditions needing real medical treatments.

58 lines....58 lines of justification. What the f..ck do you care? You bite in "the stick". like any other person in "the dream". You crave for approval. You get sarcastic when challenged. You have been promoting your own " "enlightenment" for many years now, with long,..Looooong. Monologues . With the result of more and more people, who questioned you. Whom you answered with sarcasm or " slick one liners". Now most people who "now"you. Ignore you. My whole point is simply this. You are not "able" to have a normal two way conversation. with someone...you just can not handle it. (Forget "criticism" ) That's it.
@spiritualanarchist81628 жыл бұрын
P.S Did you actually wrote a questionnaire about my mental health...And , than add, You t did that because you have "great compassion" ...WOW .It is worst then i feared.( your mental health that is)
@TransferOfAwakening8 жыл бұрын
+Spirtual Anarchist I don't see anything wrong with having a health issue - mental or physical. Having cancer is no one's fault. Having delusions, hallucinations or schizophrenia too is no one's fault. I don't have them but it doesn't mean I will never have them. As I might get old, I might also get dementia, Alzheimer's and other old age related health issues and I might eventually die. I see no shame, guilt or issue in it.

IS PURIFICATION NECESSARY FOR SELF-REALIZATION? What Mira says about Purification and the nedd of a sattvic mind in order to realize our true nature is FALSE and has nothing to do with the original teachings of great masters among them Sri Ramana Maharshi who was an Advaita Jnana Yoga teacher.: I quote his words about purity and a sattvic mind: 'Only to such a mind which has gained the inner strength of one-pointedness, Self-enquiry will be successful. But a weak mind will be like wet wood put into the fire of jnana-vichara.' 'If the aspirants have not one-pointed mind, which is possible for him who has pure mind full of sattva, dispassion, discrimination, etc., Self-enquiry is impossible.' 'It is easy, the concentration on the Self, for him who has qualities like dispassion, discrimination, one-pointed mind, renunciation, etc. For the rest, it is either less or more, depending on how much one has these qualities. For those who are not prepared, it is very difficult, if not impossible.' ~ Sri Ramana Maharshi It is a pity that people like Mira teach the science of Self-realization in public confusing people with these false ideas

+Nada de Nada without purification and sattva there is no Self-realization. Any other idea is based on ignorance. This is what Atmaram says
@atmannityananda-academia8 жыл бұрын
+Bob Reed What you think is not important at all. Ranana Maharshi, NISARGADATTA, SIVANANDA,BHAGAVAD GITA and all great gurus say that purification is necessary: A quote of Nisargadatta: There is the body and there is the Self. Between them is the mind, in which the Self is reflected as 'I am'. Because of the imperfections of the mind, its crudity and restlessness, lack of discernment and insight, it takes itself to be the body, not the Self. All that is needed is to purify the mind so that it can realize its identity with the Self.
@atmannityananda-academia8 жыл бұрын

After watching a couple hundred of these vids it's clear that what these cats are talking about is 'stream entry', the initiatory 'awakening' that signals your opportunity to become a real student. But, alas, there are very few real teachers so, this grand opportunity is lost. This awakening experience is grabbed onto by the desperate little ego and just made into a new, even more sad and self centered little 'spiritual' figure. Adam Bucko is the only one of these guys who is worth the air he's sucking up. Any teacher worth the space they're taking up would tell you, 'take the money you were going to give me and give it to the poor' because I have all. They would be inviting you to sing, dance and pray with them. They would be telling you to look for God in the eyes of your neighbors and to serve them. To look for God endlessly in 'nature'. Please don't bother correcting my 'illusions' children. I know what I'm saying and it's all you'll ever need. But keep arguing. Look for the kings in rags and join them.
