Almond Croissant was VERY strong in my house & I did get a savory bread note upon burn. However, the extract note was heavy & that got on my nerves by the time I reached the end. It did burn really well for me all the way down though. It’s a one & done. I know you’re not a lavender girl, but Pink Lavender & Espresso is divine. One of the few candles I have backups of.

I will have to sniff out the pink lavender and espresso again but I know the first time I smelled it I for sure picked up lavender. I really wish I liked lavender. So many of those are such popular scents!

I expeditiously return what I'm displeased with. With their shenanigans regarding pricing, product quality, return policies, sale price increases and frequencies, and coupon distribution... I return faster than a wax pool can solidify!

They just released a candle called “Main Street bakery”. On cold, it kind of smells like banana pudding. Smells awesome!! Return the second almond croissant to grab that.

I picked up 2 Almond Crossaint. For me, it completely transformed into more of a savory Crossaint/baked bread, and I had no problem at all with the burn quality with the thick wicks. I also picked up the Hummingbird Tea Cake, I loved that one. I didn't smell pineapple and it gave me more like Carrot Cake or even banana.

I agree. I didn't get almond croissant for a long time because on cold it didn't appeal to me. I finally decided to get one and see if it changed under the warmer and thankfully it did

Love your haul and excited to see you back to purchasing BBW!🩷I loved almond croissant on cold, but upon burning the almond note disappeared and I was left with only a buttery croissant😭I also loved Wildberry & Ube, it does soot quite a bit so I would suggest limiting burn times, but the scent is amazing. If you’re looking to trade in your backup of Almond Croissant, I would suggest checking out Wild Rose & Suede. I do not care for rose scents at all so I almost passed on it, but this one was done well and I went back for 2 more backups. It tends to dud out but worth the hassle for the scent, it’s lighter but perfect for the bedroom. If you didn’t pick it up last year, Palo Santo & Sage is another hoard-worthy scent! Can’t wait to hear your post burn reviews!💕

OMGGG THATS SO ME!! When I do store pick up I have to run to the register and tell myself GET THE EFF OUT!! I swear sometimes I just black out in there!! 😂😂😂 BLOWS MY MIND Stella is almost 12! WOW!! WaiKiki beach is Phenomenal!! And Coconut sandalwood one of my summer staples! Def an ALLTIME fave since 2016ish Wild Rose & Suede , Pink Lavender & Espresso are really good ones. I had to get 2 Tropidelic and I really like it! And yes to vanilla coconut surf!! I hate summer too! Def a Winter girl!

Great haul Melanie! If you like fruity scents, I LOVE iced Dragonfruit tea. Not sure if you have tried that before? It’s now in the core line. Also the red mango and tiki beach are both really nice and have always performed very well for me. Enjoy your new candles! 🥰

Almond Croissant will be my first BBW candle next month since March, April, and May are for Spring ones only. Mainly florals, but will do fruity scents as well. I do have some of the ones you picked up, I'm excited for them. Vanilla Coconut Surf, Sweet Red Mango, Calypso Clementine, Wildberry & Ube are on my mental list to get. Loved their BOGO sale only got 24 candles lol. I gave White Gardenia to my mother for pre-Mother's Day, she really likes it. Woodwick's Island Coconut and Sugared Coconut are pretty authentic to my nose. Yankee's Coconut and Coconut Milk are pretty good.

I’m going to be watching for your review on calypso clementine, I had it in a single wick just to test it but I got less clementine and wood aromachems came out upon burning. I think it’s ambroxan. Once that hit I just couldn’t get past it. And I like you am always searching for an authentic clementine melt or candle, I have to say I actually like quiet clementine by scentsy even tho it’s a bit powdery.

BBW's almond croissant does get better burning, the crust comes out only when burning (at least for my nose). I have not tried it in the crock because so far its buring pretty good. Melanie, I too love Scentsy's Almond Crossant and am down to my last two BUT I received Kringle's Easter Brunch and I swear I love it as much as Scentsy's Almond Crossiant. You likely ordered the Kringle Easter Brunch candle or Kringle is sending it to you and may be waiting on it since you are so far from their shipping house. Believe me , if you are waiting on it, it is worth the wait!

My suggestions are Flowerschild, sweet red mango, hummingbird tea cake,spring time in Paris, would always suggest coconut sandalwood but you got it lol. A new one coming out for mother's day called vanilla cloud sounds right up my alley as well.

Good Morning Melanie! You chose some great scents!! I also enjoy BBW's coconut scents ❤! Tiki Beach is a beautiful beachy type of scent & an excellent performer in my home. Hope you get the same experience. Another beautiful tropical scent is Fiji White Sands! I highly recommend it. Wildberry & Ube is so delicious and creamy!! I have heard it's got a tendency to soot so I always keep my burn time to 2-3 hours max. I haven't burned mine yet to see how it does. I haven't tried Calypso Clementine yet as was nervous about the neroli nectar note too. I love a good juicy clementine scent though so I may have to pick one up to try! I agree with you on Almond Croissant unfortunately. It's not the same as Scentsy's because I was hoping for the same thing 🤣! My nose really picks up the strong almond extract note too and not a pastry note. Now in fairness, I haven't burned mine yet either to see how it transforms on warm. Hope I enjoy it but based on cold sniff, it's not the same or as authentic as Scentsy's bar. Thanks for sharing your haul and your adorable pugs!! Have a great weekend my friend. Hey Melanie. I am not a fan of bbw almond croissant. That almond extract is heavy. I’ve melted 3 times and one and done. I do love wild berry and ube. I bought 3. It’s s like a berry sweet potatoe smell. Made me think of Kringle’s sweet potatoe which I love. Another I’ve seen people recommend is pink lavender and espresso. I love it. To me it’s a beautiful combo of the lavender and espresso. Soft lavender like the lavender marshmallow. The wallflower is good too. Good luck burning😃

Great haul, Melanie, thank you for sharing. I’m pretty sure you had Waikiki Beach Coconut last year and reviewed it. I got it for the first time last year too and really enjoyed it after avoiding BBW’s coconut scents like the plague. I also got Tiki Beach for the first time as well and also enjoyed it. I believe that one has been around since the Slatkin era. I will definitely pick up both scents again as winter comes to an end as I want to burn both again this summer. Also really interested in hearing your thoughts on Tropadelic and Calypso Clementine!

I really wish I liked lavender but boy is that a turn off for me. So many people have said to try that one but I did smell that in store a bit ago and it was just not for me. Lavender is my kryptonite lol... along with pineapple lol!

more to say......I think you may like the bbw Almond Crossiant once you burn it but in case you do not and want to return the second one, BBW has released the Raspberries and Whipped Vanilla for Spring which I know both you and your daughter like! It appears to have the same packaging as previously (which I like). If you do exchange the almond croissant, do not forget to put those blinders on before entering the store!!!!! Stay Strong!

Melanie, BBW Wildberry and Ube I love! I have burned at least four of them!! You do have to limit to the 3 hours burn time on this one. I did not have problems with the thicker wicks which I sometime do. It is devine!!

I have all those candles plus back ups except the coconut surf because it had such a low throw I could hardly smell anything... So glad I only ordered one of those. The tropidelic candle was a big disappointment for me. I did order 2. One I lit it had no throw and hardly any scent. The second one I tried under a candle lamp and still barely any scent ..it smelt so good on cold but unfortunately not so good when lit or under lamp. As far as Coconut Sandlewood it's one of my favs from BBW. Haven't ordered coconut Sandlewood yet this year because I still have like 8 from last year. Same with sweet red mango and wild berry and ube. I had no issues with the thick rope like wicks. Usually if I do I'll put it under one of my candle lamps or in one of my candle crocks. I burn all my candles in Hurricanes no matter what brand. I have 2 more very large orders coming from BBW even though I seriously didn't need anything else and told myself I wasn't going to order as much this year here I go doing it again with Homeworx as well..🤦 The 7ft shelving units in my candle room are full enough already. Anyway great Haul hopefully you have better luck with tropidelic 3 wick than I did. As always enjoyed watching 💓

Almond croissant did not do it for me and I love gourmands. You could exchange for sweet orange and agave. Smells like Volcano. There is hummingbird tea cake, Main Street bakery, or pink lavender and espresso.

Hi Melanie! So many people are enjoying the Almond Croissant candle, but I did not. Ended up exchanging it. But, to be fair, I think that I'm just not that into these bread-type, almond-y candles. I'm more into cake, muffin, you know - that kind of bakery.😥 I, too, hate those tree stump wicks. They're awful. If they don't dud out first, then they like shred bits and bits into the wax and ugh, the wax gets so filthy and it changes the scent of the candle to something gross. I've kind of come to the conclusion that when I'm buying a BBW candle, I'm only going to get half the candle out of it. I mean, that's what is happening to the majority of them. So, I definitely do NOT pay full price... or even $15.95 for them! I'm like you - crock and lamps when it comes to BBW candles. But, I wish I could be more like you and decluttering my BBW collection because it has gotten out of hand! My boss gave me a bouquet of colorful lilies once, and OMG, the staining on my desk was unreal! Beautiful, for sure, but OMG, what a nightmare! I passed on the Tropidelic candle. Loved the packaging but the one I picked to sniff up at my store smelled VERY light. Batch inconsistencies, I'm sure. I've been buying Tiki Beach for years! Isn't it so nice?! 😂😂Really enjoy the room spray, too. Nice, summery scent. I haven't burned or warmed the Calypso Clementine yet, but I am really enjoying the sweet orange on cold. Ended up grabbing the fragrance mist, the mini perfume, and the car thingy ma-jiggies.😁 Can't wait to hear your review because you'll probably get to it before I do. I could've sworn that I've seen you discuss Waikiki Coconut Beach before but I'm probably remembering wrong, knowing me!🤨
