I recently visited BBW, and the SA mentioned that Sweetheart Cherry is a repackaged of Black Cherry Merlot. However, I don’t think that’s the case-Black Cherry Merlot has a deeper cherry note, and no pistachio.

I’m not fond of this year’s packaging. Not a fan of last year’s either, but I feel the darker colours represent it better. I haven’t smelled the new one yet but I’m anxious to. I love last year’s version and it lasts all day on clothing.

I feel the same. I love sweetheart cherry, but I’m not a big fan of perfect and pink. It’s too powdery to me. Reminds me of my grandmother‘s baby soft perfume back in the day

Sweetheart Cherry and Perfect in Pink are DEFINITELY different. PIP is more floral and powdery with that Camilla note. SC is definitely more sweet, creamy, and gourmand with that vanilla/almond note. I LOVE sweetheart cherry and HATE Perfect in Pink. I think that’s the main way I can tell there’s a big difference. 😄

Absolutely agree with you on this years sweetheart cherry. I couldn’t stand the strong cherry smell compared to this years. It’s so much fluffier ,creamier , and I believe the cherry takes a step back and the pistachio and vanilla are the star of the show in this new one. Absolutely love since I’m not a cherry girl at all. Awesome comparison!

I think you are SPOT ON with your comparisons. I agree, I don't have the new version, but comparing Perfect in Pink to the OG Sweetheart Cherry, I feel the same as you. They are definitely close, and yes, I can pick up the little bit of camilla flower in PIP but it's the cherry and nuts and a whipped fluffiness in both (hey-- cherry sundaes, lol! That could be another name for a scent!). I wasn't sure in the store if they changed it, it smelled enough the same to me without having the old one along to compare. BUT, if you're picking up a little difference, that would make sense. They did get complaints from some people that the cherry was too strong. Even my own daughter thought the cherry was too much or too cherry cough syrup to her, so maybe they did back it down a touch to soften it up.

I liked her enough last year to pick her up. The more time I spend with her, the more I enjoy her. I just may need to use my reward on a back up of her. I think Firecracker Pop smells exactly like the red, white and blue ice pops I remember from childhood. I had ordered Oh Cherry from the website and I returned it because it smelled like plastic. Then I smelled it in the store, and it was completely different, in a good way.

Hi Mary! I have so much of Sweetheart Cherry from last year, so I'm not sure if I want it again this year. The packaging is so cute! With this one like you I was "meh" about it when it was first released. I may just pick up the mist due to the packaging LOL I always feel like the first year when a scent is released it's usually the best. Congrats on your brand. I will have to do an order as I would like to try some of your products.

I think you’ll love it!! It’s my favourite scent, last year I bought around 40 bottles. I’ve only ever bought up to 6 backup bottles of a mist until I found Sweetheart Cherry. Hearing Mary say that there is a slight difference is one of the reasons I bought so much of it last year, fear it wouldn’t come back or would change.

They sure changed SC! I have the first release of Sweetheart Cherry. It has very little cherry, mostly nut and the scent lasted 15 min. It sucked. This release has twice as much cherry and it is much stronger just like you said they needed to do. I don't think their batches are consistent in this scent.

You think the new release has twice as much cherry? Mary thinks they backed the cherry down a little. I have the first release and it's VERY cherry to me. But thankfully it's cherry pistachio and not cherry popsicle.
