Personally the runt is the cutest.. I love the pattern on the back. Right now my hedgehog has a litter. They all seem to be doing great! I would have thought there would be difficulties but there hasn't been. Which is awesome.

Hey Mark! I'm just NOW seeing this...one year too late. Not sure if you still want to know what kind of shampoo to use. I can't remember now, but I seem to recall that it has to be a fragrance free shampoo. They are super sensitive to any kind of scent. Also, it can't have any kind of 'tree oil' in it. This can harm them. I'm pretty sure that was it, but just to be sure, you need to ask a vet or at the pet store for advice. Hedgehogs are super sensitive to certain things...smells, and noise so please do ask questions if you decide to get one.

Nope. I followed instructions given by professionals. 1-2 weeks would be too young, but at 5 weeks the mother will start to leave them more and more and by then they are eating and walking around by themselves. At 8 weeks they need to be seperated from mother and siblings.
