Thank you Louise for another lovely video. l live in the next town on from Bradford on Avon and regularly walk to Avoncliff. If you return you can keep on walking and come to some lovely little cafés including The Lock Inn at BoA. It’s a lovely walk too. 🦆 x

Thanks so much Sharon! What a lovely place to live! I visited a bit further on in my Bradford on Avon video. Had a bit of lunch at a tea room by the locks. I meant to say that in this video. Thanks so much for mentioning this. I will pin it to the top of the comments as I think it will be helpful for others.

Great canal walk Louise. I am pleased to say that we have walked from Bradford on Avon to Avoncliffe and had a drink at that cafe. We have also walked along near Bathampton. Its very pretty on that canal. Also great shot of Henry the heron. 😊🌱🌱🦆🦆🌳🌳

Thank you Cathy! Its such a lovely walk isn't it! I look forward to returning to the area sometime and trying out the cafe. Henry the Heron! Great name for him! I was so lucky to see him. I have never seen one so close before!

Absolutely superb in every way Louise! What a fantastic canalside walk! You had great weather. You pointed out lots of interesting canalside features too. I love the Kennet & Avon Canal and it is good to see it fully restored now - I remember when it was completely disused and derelict in places in the early 1980s. Thanks so much for the mentions, and about my Somerset Coal Canal video - I do hope to do another in that area again soon. Brilliant! Paul

Thanks you Paul!! That’s fantastic to know that it has been renovated and it’s disused and derelict bits have been brought back to life. It was close to paradise walking along it in the spring sunshine.

Thank you Louise, this canal walk was a favourite of mine and Heather's, and I recognise the tea gardens and pubs like the George at Bathampton, and Cross Guns at Widecombe, our favourite tea garden was the first one at the beginning of your walk along the canal at Widecombe, by the pumping station, and thanks to you and your video, I intend paying a visit to that tea garden, as it was a favourite of mine and Heather's, and we got to know the owner Theresa very well. As you rightly said in your video, it really is a beautiful area to explore, and the boat-owners were so friendly. I really do miss it. I'm going to watch your video of Bradford on Avon, and this video of the canal again, as it has given me so many wonderful memories of walking along it with Heather, thank you. Keep up the good work, 😊 martin

Hi Louise! The canals look like such a fun area to explore - I wish we had more here in Canada - the majority of the canals are out east in Ontario. The canal boats are all so unique. I enjoyed seeing the swing bridge. Very enjoyable walk.

Louise were you sneaking a look over the bridge at the railway track in hope of a train going past, and then later in video you actually waited to see one🥳. I knew it a trainspotter😂😂😂well done for walking 9 miles by the way👍you deserve another 10000 subs for your dedication to that walk, very tiring but beautiful😁

What a delightful walk, I love a good aqueduct. The bits we saw looked pretty good underfoot considering the weather we have had. Thanks for sharing that quite long day out.
