My favorite skateboarder of all time. Cleanest and most perfect style of all time. He let me interview him for a school project in 9th grade. Awesome dude. Seeing him and Kalis and stevie Williams at Love park back in the early 2000's was awesome. I got to see him land an epic lipslide at Love. It's in the Habitat video. I was standing right behind him. It was was crazy.

Legend. At age 37 I still skate and watch Getz in Jump off a building to this day. Say what you want.. 90's and early 00s were the golden age of skateboarding.

Crazy that he lived right next door to me, he's like 12 years older than me so we didn't know each other. But his parents would always be like hey Kerry's gonna be on this channel tonight or he's competing at this or that event.

Kerry used to do these super high cannon balls over the pyramid at Poconos skate park. He legit looked like he was flying. He'd pull both the nose and tail upward giving him even more height... I wouldn't normally say that's a cool trick, but he made that trick unbelievably cool.

Man, this is awesome. I remeember back in like 06-07ish skating at a Habitat/Alien Workshop demo in Grand Rapids, Michigan and seeing Kerry Getz skate in-person. A true Professional and a real inspiration, was definitely a childhood hero.

Yo…. I went into this skate shop off of south street in Philly one morning and they just opened. Pretty early during the week somewhere around 10 am. Yeah… I wanted a complete so I could get back on a board and in all honesty get some exercise. Come to find out it was Kerry. My man treated me as if we were lifelong friends and he was building me a custom board just for me. I picked the deck and he picked everything else. Pretty impressive that he made it there that early not to mention super Hospitable. He was the only person in the store. Thanks man!

Kerry Getz is a good dude. I remember going to the Poconos skate park and Kerry was there shredding hard as fuck and he gave me his deck and signed it. Just gave it to me out of the kindness of his heart. I'll never forget it. That deck was still new as shit and I remember I was desperate and eventually ended up skating it , but I wish I didn't because the board deserved to be framed and hung on my wall cause the dude is a legend.
