I find it interesting that the English words ‘professional’ and ‘amateur’ have such opposite connotations. The word professional is often used as a compliment, amateur as an insult. Professionals are much more rigid and are more tightly bound by costs, time and, ultimately, profit. Maya is an amateur in that she works on her own schedule, in tune with the needs of her mind and body, the weather and the seasons. She has friends, family, neighbors and volunteers help her when they are available. For Maya, although she is always very happy when a milestone is reached, the journey is more important than the destination. This board, this plant, this stone, load of concrete, batch of insulation, brush laden with water or paint or lime. ‘Professional’ can also be used as a compliment, as in displaying a high level of competence, skill, or quality in a particular field or activity. That too is Maya. She has accomplished more in the last two years than 99.99% of us ever have or will. All the while not compromising, by doing it her way, and almost always with a smile on her face and occasionally a happy dance. 😊 She has touched so many people from around the world and I am personally so very grateful to her. As always, a spectacular video. I would just change the bathtub for a wall-mounted shower (we have a bathtub and don't use it). On the other hand, it is more difficult to use for older people. I want to highlight the beauty of the river. My God, I'm so "jealous". HAPPY MAYA NEW YEAR ❤🇵🇹

Relying on silicone for water tightness seems a bit sketchy with plumbing. But it is only a drain so not a lot of pressure. It does suggest that the drain wasn’t assembled properly. Maybe a gasket was missed?

I admire your willingness to tackle this big job. Something I learned from a renovation project on a bathroom was to have moist humid air vent to the outside of the house and definitely not inside the roof attic because that will invite mold and rot to begin to grow in those spaces. Good luck.

I made a wooden frame and then let the bath “lean” on it, easier to put everything level and stringer then 4 plastic feet 🙂

Great job! I do like the color. I find the most important thing about choosing a color is wether it adds aliveness to your skin complexion! Nobody ever speaks about that, but you can look more alive or the opposite only by the wall color of the room you are in. Happy new year ❤

Common practice is to use plumbers putty between the drain and I inside of the tub. Make a small roll (snake) that fits around the fixture where it goes through the tube. Squish the putty between the the fixture into the tube opening. This creates a water proof seal.
