Im going to be working on some bathroom organizing today and a hall closet that needs some organizing. My under sink area in my bathroom is space not being utilized while my bathroom closet shelf is getting very cluttered.
I’ll also be going into my basement and giving my couch and love seat a deep cleaning. They are in desperate need!

Tip: Move the tension rod under the tub so you won't have to clip and unclip to use. The tub should lean against the slant just as it does now.

Hi Jodi. I have a tip on how to get those tight cushion covers back on your couch easier. I put a plastic garbage bag over my padding and where the last opening on the cover is where the bottom of the bag will go. When I get the padding slipped into the cover I pull the plastic bag off and walla…it will look great! I hope you try this little trick…..Carol

This has been my favorite video! I had the opposite problem you did; I didn't measure and I bought tension rods too big. We should trade! I always wash my cushions like you did (2 cats too). I'm a single mom, so I don't need a man nor do I have one. Every time I wash them, it's just squish and tug and pull to get the covers back on.

This is my very favorite type of video. One of the reasons I loved military life was moving and being able to decorate, clean or organize a new home. I have no idea why it thrills me so much. Couches look amazing. I found it helps to put the seat covers on like you would pantyhose. Everything looks wonderful Janet 😘

Okay, I want that green thingy carpet cleaner, because it is neat - that's a very nice couch and it came up beautifully. I was watching you with the tension thingy and trying to figure a way to get the organisation containers to fit into a small space - and I feel you! That's one of the things which take so long - trying to source the correct sized container for space you happen to have - and they're either too tall or too short or too small or long.... 🤨 I think the cupboard looked good before hand, but it certainly looked more user friendly and organised afterward!

I'm with you .. I use my Green Machine the same way ... I like that I'm rinsing with clear water ..IF you put a LARGE black garbage bag on your cushions upside-down then the covers slid right on ... the pull out the plastic ..

See if the tension rod fits underneath the sink area , then you can hang the bottles by the trigger, also organize by height, tallest in back, that way you can see everything. When you’re in a hurry, you’ll forget extra brushes are behind fantastic ❤❤

What a transformation on that sofa. Looks amazing. If you put the tension rod an inch above the slanted shelf ( in the lower bottom) the bucket bottom will rest against it and not slip off. This will make getting it and replacing it much easier...no clip.

It is always so fun watching you do your cleaning/organizing when I do mine. I am working on my office/guest room. It always gets so cluttered as it is my dumping place... Gotta get rid of more stuff! Slowly but surely. I saw that you had a couple Norwex products. Have you seen what the cloths can do? No need for any of the spray cleaners or Clorox wipes that are so bad for your hands and even breathing in the toxins. (Read the fine print on the Clorox wipes for safety and for proper use.) You are so good at completing your jobs!

We just decluttered and donated a green machine!! Lol but my mom just got a new bissell rug cleaner and that has the upholstery attachment options so I think we are good. Plus I have the bissell cordless pet stain eraser. It’s like a dust buster size of spray/extraction cleaning machine. Anyways the dirt coming out of the sofa and loveseat was very satisfying!!!

I posted my suggestion for the tension rod before I saw you bought another, I was referring to the 1st one that didn’t fit in closet, see if it fits under bathroom sink. You did an amazing job😅

I use Persil in my Bissell cleaner and it works great instead of expensive “carpet cleaner” cleaner. Learned this trick from another couponer.

You should be able to slide a butter knife under some part of the plastic piece on the spray head of the Green Machine rotate the knife and it will pop right off. That’s what we do for ours. Great video, great shots of the ‘PS Soup’ - People Sweat Soup 🎉❤

Could also hang the cleaning spray bottles on the tension rod (via their handle) and put the bucket under the sink. The couch cleaning was so satisfying to watch! I’m always amazed at how much you get done in a week. It takes me weeks to get anything done from my to do list.

I *love* those tiered baskets! Couple years ago I bought a bunch of the wider ones. For your bucket: an S hook would let you remove it easier, *or* you could just keep it under the sink. Move the tension rod forward and you could use it for hanging spray bottles. Xxo

I use to do the same thing. Go up and down the stairs to grab cleaning products. Now I keep 2 sets; 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. I also keep an extra paper towel roll with the cleaning products bc my daughter also cleans with me on cleaning day. Great job Jodi, you've definitely inspired over here! For the bucket, try an "S" hook. This way you don't have to unlatch it everytime you need it.

I do not have space for a cabinet in the bathroom but have wide window sills so where to put cleaners etc I had a narrow space behind my toiler and managed to fit a magazine folder in plastic,you can fit in 2-3 items and easy to pull out ,it is discreet. I also have one under a kitchen sink tall and narrow.

Jodi, next time you do the Cushions, bend them in half to get the covers all the way on the let them expand inside and tweak them after they r totally in. I find it works better! Either way it is work, and you r doing it gurl!

Hi Jodi! 👋Great day for decluttering and cleaning. Like both bathroom cleaning areas. Suggestion: try pulling the tension rod farther forward. It should help. Love the narrow sliding bins under the sink. Ah the catch all closet. We call that the junk closet. 😆 In the south there are several junk catching areas in every house. Kitchen drawers, closets, even old vanities or cupboards. Then there's the garage & sheds. 😆😂😜 Yours looks very good now. Yes. Finagling is how we work things out in such places. For myself I would've used one of those command hooks on the side of the closet near the door opening and a binder ring to hold the command hooks packaging. But that's me. You did good this time on mostly using what you already have. Yes. You have come a long way. Amazing how much easier it is when it's organized to your own needs to keep it that way. I laughed when I saw all of the cat food; I can relate. Our mother and daughter cats need a variety of food, or they will turn up their noses. The slanted area in your closet would be a great place for storing shoes or slippers. Use the tension rod at floor level, so the shoes stay upright on the incline, and don't slide down. What a transformation on the couches! TFS.

Yes the couches were a bit gross but they look so much better now. I keep blankets on our furniture because I have two large dogs, two cats and a messy husband. I hate having the blankets on the furniture but to be honest it’s pretty easy to snatch them off if we have guest coming and it saves me a ton of cleaning. One of my cats is 18 years old and can’t be bothered to move off the couch if she throws up. I don’t let the dogs on the furniture anymore and that certainly helps. I just make sure they have their own comfortable beds in the living room and they have two more beds in our bedroom. But I still have tumbleweeds of pet hair rolling about on my floor😊

this was cool 😀 I personally own a KIRBY vacuum cleaner, that converts to multiple machines in one. it has a shampoo gun that shoots foam out, its a sudsy carpet cleaning method, we have a couch that's about as old as yours, I used that Kirby shampoo thing and it did wonders. im newer here to your channel by the way, I love your videos ☺

A question for your 1 year video. Something that impacted me when you shared was that as things got cluttered you had company come over less often.. This may have an impact on your mental and emotional health. now that you've worked so damn hard, can you talk on that impact and how you're feeling now, and if you're getting visitors back. I struggle with cleaning... No one told me I had to dust my walls and wipe my baseboards at all much less how often I have to do it and it's something that ppl have commented on. I'm not lazy! I'm running a 6+ person household, working full time and battling depression for 20 years so wiping walls and baseboards has never been at the forefront of my mind. End of rant. Lol Jodi, I appreciate your content and inspiration
