Wow! It looks incredible!! I wasn't sure if you would be able to fit that much inside the space without it being too crowded but it feels very spacious and totally serene. It does feel different. Humidity makes a big difference. Also a person from a country like the UK rarely gets hotter than 22 degrees and your body does take a bit to adjust to a climate. Also air con is a rarity in the UK. Houses are built to keep in the heat in winter. An Aussie home might have the opposite problem of being a bit nippy in the winter as homes are built for ventilation and shelter from the sun. You may feel a 10 degree winters day in Australia is bitterly cold whereas 10 degree winters in London is a nice mild winters day. But yes, it may sound funny when people say such a mild temperature for you but its relative. The climates are totality different.

I'm Australian and grew up there but now I live in the UK and I can confirm that it FEELS a lot hotter because the buildings here are insulated for winter and also air con is a rarity. Also depending on where you are in Australia it's more of a dry heat but in the UK it's a humid heat which is gross.

FYI you can prime the pipes under the sink with a primer appropriate for PVC/plastic and then paint it the same color as the paneling so that it is less noticeable or paint it black to make it look like cast iron.

My boyfriend and I renovated our house 2 years ago when we bought it and I know by experience how time consuming it is but the feeling of accomplishment and pride you get afterwards is priceless ! The final result is incredible ; you manage to do something which is both modern and faithful to the spirit of the cottage and I can't believe how clever you both were on the hunting of second hand elements ! i'm always very apprehensive towards dark tiling because it can look very cramped quite easily, but since the rest of your bathroom is super light (and also relatively big compared to what i'm used to), the grey gives it a nice splash of colour :)

I really really love it! I definitely think sacrificing a bedroom to make a proper bathroom was the right decision, there’s no point having 4 bedrooms with only a tiny ensuite!

It looks so so good. We're just moving into our new place and thought it was quite interesting that you could get all your bathrooms appliances 2nd hand. Most plumbers or orther workers won't put in 2nd hand things, because their company has their own supplier or appliances. So they will only put in what they can sell you. At least that was our experience in Hamburg, really frustrating.

I watch a lot of reno and makeover videos and KZbin juste recommended your channel. I just wanted to say, I love where you seem to be going with your house. I love the bathroom makeover (I wouldn't have chosen the same floor tiles but that's just my taste so it doesn't matter ^^). I love that you replaced the windows and that you're keeping the cottage vibe. I also see that you're vegan and you keep comenting on how to be more eco-friendly during the renovations and in live in general and I LOVE that. Our planet is so important. This turned out to good! I'm getting all kinds of inspiration watching haha! I also have a dark tiled shower and it's amazing, putting the lights out and lighting candles instead makes it so cosy and spa-like!

Subway tiles are so easy to keep clean and shiny, I am a domestic cleaner. Just polish with a little vinegar and they will be like soooo shiny! One of my clients has a sink like yours, make sure everything it well sealed otherwise the wood starts to split and goes mouldy, they just recently had to restrict it and re varnish with a special varnish. I know it’s nice to keep things natural, but bathrooms are inherently damp!

The bathroom and the kitchen are the most important areas for me. Plus a good bed 😂 I don't care about the others. The bathroom looks lovely. It totally matches my style and if the water is also has high temperature, not only good pressure, I am moving there 😂 I like taking hot showers, my friends say I am crazy and I also need high pressure for my hair! I don't know why but i really like the rack shelves in the cupboard! I also love the colour scheme you got going on, I'd personally add more colour with towels and such but that isn't really needed. This turned out so lovely, can't wait for the other rooms to start to come together 😊
