@@embreis2257 Well... not everyone is willing to learn to accept changes. Being an open LGBTQ+ person is more accepted (although not by many people) is this time and generation than it was before the 21st century. People are still learning that a difference in preference is an actual thing and that it's not as evil, immoral and inhuman as they were brought up to believe. Thankfully, my mom has been willing to learn to accept this change over the past few months. It takes a lot for someone to be open minded and we got to appreciate someone that naturally is, life's easier with such people in it.🤷‍♀️

@@deadleaves2497 thx for answering. ah, so the issue is not in _watching_ this kind of content but to accept other lives than heteronormality? these two are not identical. it's one thing for a parent to set aside decades of training in conformity and accept your child is different. it is quite another to let it watch BL content in peace. watching this doesn't change our preferences since they are already fixed with birth. a parent should know that. no amount of BL content can turn a kid into a queer kid.

No matter how much my mom would say she's okay with it, I know deep down that she isn't, at least not the same way that I'm perfectly fine with it. I doubt she'll ever be ready to accept this preference in me and I understand her so I just avoid her fully finding out altogether. I can just hope that I'll be free of such worry some day but please don't misunderstand me.

@@deadleaves2497 maybe look for ways to slowly broaden her horizon. find content which features 'alternative lifestyles' in a funny, humouristic and non-offensive way. likeable characters and stories she can identify with (choose content which includes parents and how they learn to accept it once they realise their kids happiness is their own happiness too.) the Taiwanese show _Papi & Daddy_ might fit this purpose but check for yourself first
