Omfg THANK YOU you are the GOAT. I watched about a dozen videos. Only one had that inner piece and they said absolutely nothing about it. Not only did you show my what I was doing wrong (I had the notch on it inside the notch on the handle 🤦🏼‍♂️) but you also gave a great explanation about what exactly it’s for and how it works. I'm the furthest thing from a plumber. Mine broke the same way, took the broken handle to the big box, was confused by the tabs / stops and orientation while attempting the fix, and your audio / video cleared it all up. Wanted to take the time to say thanks!!

Great video! I am pretty handy with plumbing, but for some reason, I was having trouble getting the handle back on. I was trying to line everything up the same way. I had the exact same issue this morning and just fixed it. This tutorial was really informative. The only issue that was so basic yet an absolute necessity was that my brass nozzle where the handle slips into wasnt aligned perfectly. You see him adjust it with a wrench in the video but i thought nothing of it. When I went to go put on the piece it didnt slide in, i eventually figured it out and aligned. After that it slid right in, I tightened the screw, put the cap on and I was done

Make sure it is the same brand...you can buy a handle that looks like this but if it’s a different brand it won’t work

idk if you're still active but i have a very similar handle to this that needs to be fixed but the plastic knob won't come off, does it just pull off? i cannot get it, i can run out and grab that tool i've seen soon but would like to remove it now so i can just turn off the water that's coming out of the faucet. edit: nevermind i'm an idiot, there was a little plate that comes off and a screw.

I just replaced the handle identical to this but still haven't solved the one problem. When I screw in the screw, the water starts to turn on. (I have a push/pull type). I have to unscrew it and manually push it in to stop the water. It seems the screw is either too long or something. I can't tell. The screw that came with the set is what I am using. I'll keep trying but any recommendations would be helpful.

what do i do if the hole in my shower wall (not tile just white shower plastic wall stuff) is a tiny tiny bit bigger then the new faceplate. the old faceplate is somewhere between a rectangle and a oval and the new one is round. is there anything i can do to fill the tiny gap???

I can’t get that center screw to loosen up. When I turn it counter clockwise it just rotates but doesn’t come loose. When I turn it clockwise it turns the water off. Therefore, I can’t get the broken handle off. There’s no way to grip the brass tube so I can unscrew the middle screw. I can literally turn the water on and off with a Philips screwdriver with the handle cap removed, but I can’t unscrew the screw. Do I need to saw the plastic handle off? It’s crazy. It’s frustrating. Any suggestions?
