Most tub brands don’t allow for the flange to be drill , to set screw , they require a ledger,mortar bed , or some metal clips that help hold the tubs 😅

​@@nmatthew7469can you explain how it doesn't? I just had to replace a brand new formed shower pan for a lady because her last contractor did exactly this. The water was wicking up the little capillaries between the durock and the lip and exiting through the screw holes. Fun fact: bathtubs that aren't enameled iron should be mortared in place. You don't need screws because once the mortar sets the tub isn't going anywhere. So this is a completely moot issue because he shouldn't be putting screws in it to begin with
