On Bali there is only one type of paints (dry one). I don't know the details about this paints. They are fix in so-called 'glass water' and then boil to remove wax.

It is called Gutta

It is the same wax applied in Javanese batik. The wax is called “malam”. It is a combination of some vegetable and animal fat and oil. It smells fragrant. Very cheap and easily found in the traditional market in Yogyakarta or Solo.
