Batman Abenteuer/Adventure The Ride is the generic name for a series of defunct/extinct Batman-themed motion simulator rides installed at various Warner Brothers-branded parks around the world.
This film was shot in summer 2001 on a Sony DV camera.
It's not one of our best videos, but it gives a good impression of what the ride was all about. We've de-interlaced the footage, upscaled it to HD and added many tweaks.
In 1996, Warner Bros. Movie World in Germany opened Batman Abenteuer (Batman Adventure - The Ride). The ride was identical to the one that had debuted in Australia many years before.
Before entering the Batcave, guests were admitted to Wayne Manor in Gotham City and given a tour of the library. In these two pre-show rooms, guests were given an overview of the plot. The live-action film followed Batman on his quest to rescue kidnapped children in Gotham City. Riders would be transported to the adventure by Batman's tracking module vehicle. The ride is heavily inspired by the film Batman Returns, with appearances by the Penguin, Catwoman, and the Red Triangle Circus gang.
StarParks purchased Warner Bros. Movie World in Germany in 2004. This acquisition resulted in the removal of several Warner Bros.-licensed properties from the park, including DC Comics and Looney Tunes. The following year, Movie Park Germany opened, with Batman Adventure - The Ride renamed to Time Riders.

I went to Warner Bros. Movie World countless times as a kid and as a teenager. This Batman ride was my one of my favorites and seeing it now I realise how much work went into it. So many things specially filmed for this ride, it's incredible. Too bad the theme park has changed owners because today it is a bleak, child-focused ruin of what it once was.

Oh man, my parents would bring me to WB Movie World in the summer time, and this was my favourite ride along with the Gremlin ride. We came from the Netherlands, so I didn't speak a word of German, but I still remember this ride vividly. Sad that this ride has gone away. Think I've been on this ride like five times in my life, and each time I loved it. Thanks for this video.

Ach was war das eine schöne Zeit! Als Mr. Bruce Wayne's Bibliothekar wurde man zwar buchstäblich Grottenschlecht bezahlt, aber so viel wie ich in dem halben Jahr gelacht habe, habe ich nie wieder gelacht. Und das war unbezahlbar!

Oh gosh I remember as a kid. The seatbelts are locked in by computer and ride will not start until all belts are activated on screen 😂
