wrong dude. The entire point of Arkham Origins wasn't Bruce embracing the cowl. It was the fact that Bruce couldn't take the cowl off. He couldn't accept the fact that he wasn't invincible. Think about it. This monologue is the coolest thing I heard Batman say, but it also shows his own fear. At the start of the game, Batman is an urban legend that everyone is scared of, and right about now, he got played by Joker, nearly died from Copperhead's toxin, got his ass kicked by Bane, and all this time, he couldn't figure out Joker. What makes Joker different is that fact that he doesn't gives a rat's ass about people life. Killing people isn't his means to get the job done, it's an amusement, evident from those mangled dead bodies he left scattered in the banks and the building. He had to learn that as the opposite team was getting stronger and more psychotic, he couldn't work outside and around the law and police anymore. He had to let more people in and trust them. Let them be his extensions rather than trying to be a one-man army. This was his development which would lead him to adopt helpless, but talented boys like Dick, Jason, and Tim. It's like Alfred says, "It's high time you realize that you are a man, not an island. And a man's strength comes not from his brawn or intelligence, but also from his allies."
