I was so excited and pre-ordered immediately the Batmobile edition when they announced. When I came to know they cancelled this, I was pissed and had to stick with day 1 edition. But I received the concept art book for free in post after few days of the game release as a gesture of good will.

This makes me think - why doesnt hot toys just make a Arkham knight batmobile? I know that a full 1/6 scale one would be massive, but why not make it smaller scale like 1/12 or something? They did it with the batwing for dark knight rises, and that even had small figures of batman and catwoman.

People just wanted to be able to drive around and have car chases as an aspect of the game, not have full puzzles dedicated to moving that thing around in tank mode, and having full tank battles. When people think of the Batmobile they don't think of tanks or using them for Riddler puzzles which in universe doesn't make any sense since it's supposed to be new, yet Riddler somehow knows how to designs courses that accommodate it's abilities.

I think both the collectors editions had issues. The Batmobile Edition got cancelled, but the Statue Edition (forgot what it was actually called) was delayed by about a week. Not sure if that was an Amazon specific issue though, but either way I ended up getting a digital download code for the game only for the game itself to arrive a week later.

I think the pre orders were available six years ago. At the time I was working in fast food, and didn't save up the money in time for it because pre orders had sold out. I ended up getting the Limited Edition which included the Batman statue. I guess I got lucky as I at least received something, but it is still a disappointment that this couldn't happen for the people who actually ordered it. Also didn't know Triforce went out of business, wonder if this was potential causation of that.

I actually had this on preorder from JBHiFi in Australia, I was 14 and I was devastated when it was cancelled. I have the collectors editions for Arkham City (the mini-bust of Batman on a gargoyle and art book) and Arkham origins (the joker statue and art book), the arkham series had great collectors editions. its a shame this one never came out. it would've been epic

Man I reserved that collection. What made it worst is I worked at gamestop at the time, and my assistant manager told me to call everyone that had it reserved that it was cancelled. He thought I could relate to them so it'll be easier for me to tell them. Needless to say it wasn't. I had to hear customers complain and even though I tried to tell them I'm in the same boat, they didn't care and complained even more.

I know this doesent concern this video but I have a question about Batman Atkhan asylum and you named your channel in honor of these games, so I figure this is your area of expertise. In Batman Arkham Asylum in the botanical garden in the room where you use the sequencer to stop the electrical current in the water, scribbled on the walls is the phrase "what cop" and I never understood what it meant. This is the only part of the asylum that still confuses me.

0:47 The Quality who was comprimised was the one of the Batman statue 0:30 of the Limited Edition. This thing looked like crap and felt like the cheapest plastic i ever held in hands. I was so full of anger not getting the Batmobile edition that i sold this crappy statue on ebay even for a lower price... What would you want? A Batmobile sometimes malfunctioning or a Cheap Looking Plastic Figure like worth not even 5 Dollars?...

What's ridiculous is the game received a sizable delay from its original release date. You'd think the CE items (Batmobile, Statue, etc.) were already planned for completion by that time. With the delay they STILL had to wait until practically ship-day to realize the Batmobiles wouldn't meet their quality standards?
