Which Arkham game's combat do you enjoy the most?
@Overall992 жыл бұрын
That's one tough question for me to answer lmao If I had to rank them (for combat only) it would be something like this: 1. Batman: Arkham Knight 2. Batman: Arkham City / Batman: Arkham Origins (Draw) 3. Batman: Arkham Asylum I played Batman: Arkham Knight the most and I'd say I it's on the top of the list because I think it demands more to achieve perfection and better scores, you don't have FreeFlow Focus 2.0 from AC and AO which slow enemies down making everything easier, instead, you build speed in AK with perfectly timed Critical Strikes, if you make a mistake, you get slower and enemies remain with the same speed For AC and AO, as a slow motion fanboy I think it's more badass lmao As for Arkham Asylum, I love the ragdoll effect, but of course... It's a game from 2008, it was where everything started and for that time, it was COMPLETELY groundbreaking

@@Overall99 Yeah I agree. I think Knight has the most refined, complex combat system in the series.

Holy cow, man. You are very good at this game. I mean, i'm not bad either, but my biggest combo is like 110 hits and then game decides to show me a middle finger, bug out, ruining my combos. Like, most of the times I can't even get 20 hit combo because of the bugs and glitches. Like, sometimes you press the counter button, but game doesn't recognize it and I get hit. Other times, when that kung-fu thug attacks me, i'm pressing counter button twice, as I should, but game bugs out and decides that I did not pressed that button, and I get hit again. And then another shit happens, when you attack your opponent first, before he starts his attack animation, but game decides that opponent attacked first and not you, and you get hit. Like, WTF, why??? Thus, most of the times, this makes me so pissed that, at one time I went rage mode and hit my table so hard that I cracked the half of it off and hurt my fist, despite the fact that my table is very thick. And later the side of my fist became purple and it hurt like hell for 3 days straight. Thus why, since then I never try to get crazy combos in Arkham games. I just play for fun, enjoying my time, playing safe. And sometimes, I manage to do like 110 hit combos without even realizing it until i'm done with the challenge or with opponents.

Arkham Origins does have quite a lot of inconvinient bugs, you can prevent some of them (mostly related to counter-attacks vs combat specialists) by manipulating the timing in which you press the counter button (delaying it as much as possible), and even then it doesn't work every time As for their attack animation is pretty much RNG, on higher difficulties if they start attacking you a couple of frames before you attack them, their attack will override yours, the contrary can happen as well if Batman's attack animation is fast enough to override their attacks (the latter happens more often in Batman Arkham Knight), distance also plays a part here, the closer they are + higher difficutly = easier will be for their attacks to override Batman's Arkham's combat, although intuitive, is pretty complex, I raged a lot playing the challenges back in the day 😂

@@Overall99 Well, I'm playing only on Easy or Normal difficulties. And in Arkham games, on Normal because, you can't unlock some stuff on easy difficulty sadly.

Hey bro in Arkham knight how is your Batman so reflexive and fast in the combos but mine is stiff and slow until I get to a higher combo? I’m a seasoned Arkham player but for some reason it’s not as fast as I remember it.
@Overall992 жыл бұрын
Batman: Arkham Knight introduced a new mechanic for FreeFlow, instead of slowing enemies down after x12 combo like in Arkham City and Origins, you can build speed in Arkham Knight with perfectly timed Critical Strikes The maximum speed is achieved when you get around x60 combo without any mistake, considering Arkham Knight's Critical Strike + FreeFlow Focus MKII upgrades gives you x3 per hit, you need something between x20/x21 perfectly timed critical strikes If you make any mistake it resets the pace speed, one way to know is to pay attention while you're in combat, if you have a combo of x45 for example, your next strike should add x3 to it, making it x48, if you miss click and press strike again before Batman finishes his current animation, you'll get x2 instead, making it x47 and reset the speed you were building, keep in mind that x3 is olny possible with FreeFlow Focus MKII and full combo meter, if you use special takedowns for example, you need to fill it again to get the x3 per strike Another thing is the score, Critical Strikes gives you x20 multiplier, while non-Critical Strikes gives you x10 multiplier, you can keep a look out for that too As a rule of the thumb: FreeFlow Combat hates miss clicks and any kind of button smashing
