My two favourite Batman KZbinrs who i have a lot of respect for together talking about Batman Beyond, it doesn't get any better than that. I really hope we do get a brand new Batman Beyond animated movie as it's been almost 24 years now and its long overdue, hope it happens 🙏 Great job guys 👏

I know it's such a small part of the video- and I appreciated a lot of other things that were said- but for some reason I really appreciate the clip from the Ultimate Thrill being used when you're talking about research...and your point about how easy it is to add 1 extra gauntlet, truer words are rarely spoken

I hope we see this Batman beyond movie soon. Even if we have to wait for a very long time ro get greenlighted. As for who I consider to be Bruce's true successer as Batman, I think is Damian. I know he's the most hated member of the Bat family for countless number of reasons but still. That's just my opinion.

I love dinosaurs. And I love superheroes. And I enjoyed Jurassic League. And I'd welcome a movie. And I like James Gunn! But it's still a gimmick story, and WBD can't handle the budget of films they've *already finished*. I don't know what alien planet James is living on if he thinks Jurassic League is even a consideration right now. But worst of all is I know that movie is, like, 10 times more likely to get made and to be successful than a Terry McGinnis film. (heavy sigh)

I have not heard that with Terry. This is the first time I've heard about it. But I know that in the white knight series by Sean Murphy. He Changened Terry race to be half Asian.

I wonder if one of the "-corp" examples is actually LexCorp, now renamed because legacy successor reasons. Wish Batman Beyond had more Foxteca stuff. Heck, wish Lucius Fox in the DCAU was as veritably important as his iterations in the Nolanverse and the Arkhamverse. 4:02: It's not fully scrapped if the subjects still did accomplish its objectives without guidance. 5:09: Preach to Watchtower Database. Not sure about the in-universe reasons, but I can argue that the two fins design was slightly less demanding for amimators. For me, Terry would feel naked without his rocket boots and wings. Hmm, I would prefer a villain who is not Inque for the time being, even if she's just a minor adversary in the movie not unlike Across the Spider-Verse's steampunk Vulture. I'll wait and see on that JL dino film. Stuff like this may actually be surprisingly good for years to come, in a manner similar to how I once viewed seemingly lesser works like Arthur Christmas. 9:11: Please no. The DCAU thrives well because it's not involved in Multiversal crisis matters. Speaking of Will Friedle, here's to hoping there'll be a distant future sequel storyline for the Kim Possible cartoon someday. Who knows, maybe it could end up doing its own epic and arguably better take on a Crisis on Infinite Earths scenario alongside Phineas & Ferb and other Povenmire+Marsh shows, Gravity Falls/Amphibia/The Owl House (implied to focus on the same Earth), Gargoyles, and so on. 10:03: Wow, he shot himself bad there... wait, which of the three redcoats is he? In conclusion: even if it's not set in the primary DC Animated Universe continuity... this would still have been worth trying just because. *As long as it's not an origin story, though, since an independent film should be based on the TV series slightly for continuity and freshness.* Hope it ends up miraculously getting greenlit, not unlike Nimona was after Disney foolishly canned it... though even I admit it might take the "sanitization" of Zaslav so to make it a reality, if you know what I mean via spec ops terminology.

I disagree with your last point about it needing to not be an origin story. As much as I love the OG Beyond show and want a direct continuation there's some big reasons this should be it's own new continuity. 1) Kevin Conroy has sadly passed. I don't want anyone voicing the DCAU Batman unless it's him. 2) It's been around 30 years since Beyond's original run. While many of us have so much nostalgia for it, this film needs to appeal to a general audience to make the money WB needs it to make. And asking moviegoers to watch a decades old cartoon as homework doesn't earn you a billion dollars. 3) WB will likely want some big names on the poster. And Will Friedle is not a big name, as much as I love him. If I had to guess, I'd say maybe Steven Yeun or Timothee Chalamet as Terry and someone like Clint Eastwood or Harrison Ford as Bruce. Not my first picks, but this is Holllywood. They only choose whoever's hot rn.

Nobody wants that dinosaur Justice League movie. It sounds like that'll be aimed at young kids. I really hope Gunn doesn't only make childish DC animation. We need theatrical DC animation (and I don't mean like Superpets).
