The detail on 4k is amazing BUT that added teal color grading just kills it. I prefer the colors on blu-ray!

Prefer the 2010 Blu-ray, because of the raw sound effects and no teal tint.

This could've been a great 4K transfer had it not been for the suits. The VHS and the DVD release from 1998 are not far apart. The 2010 Blu ray is by far the best HD upgrade to date. It maintains the earthy tones. The interior shots of Wayne Manor and Vicki's apartment are clean and maintain the warmth. Sadly 4K does away with all that. Too much teal and over blown whites. Batman 1989 is intentionally to be in the shadows and Batman is to stay in it. These transfers put too much light on him and it brings out the backgrounds in a harsh way.

true story, Plus that's what I always hated from the blu ray, which has the tone palette always loaded with cold tones (bluish) I hate that! and it's a shame since the quality of the 1080 is beautiful (compared to DVDs).

Looks like the regular 2010 bluray was released then they turned up the contrast on the 2019 bluray washing out the picture and they just simply transferred the 2010 copy on a 4k disc!

Is the 2010 bd the anthology set? If it is idk if it’s the region free ones that are just awful looking and fuzzy like dvds or what but they don’t even look like Blu-ray’s.

Sucks the 2010 inst as bright on the high lights and contrast but the overall color grade is more nautural to much teal blue tint on later remasters

All right, overall it goes to the new 4k HDR transfer. Do they overdo it with the teal in the highlights in some shots? Sure. Because of that, it’s still not perfect, but to say the 2010 transfer is superior is reaching. The 4k makes the 2010 Blu-ray look like raw ungraded footage most of the time. The color cast is also far from perfect in the 2010 version as well. Just look at some of the shots that feature explosions that look green instead of taking on the fiery orange tint as they do in the new Blu-ray or 4k transfers. That being said, absolute last place is the new blu-ray SDR. Blown-out highlights across every shot. Looks absolutely terrible.

Its still look's okay than T2 but some scene the whites are blown out and the skin tone are too saturated .Plus the old sound mix wasn't include it in home released . But HBO MAX has it its make it better now .

4K detail is definitely better but that bluish tint just kills the atmosphere of the movie
