The distinctive shaped building in the background is the Century Plaza Hotel at 2025 Avenue of the Americas in Century City, CA. What we are seeing is the area behind the hotel, and the studios of 20th Century Fox were adjacent to the hotel back in those days.

And in the front of the hotel, up the way a bit, is where they pulled the chutes. It looked like GPH was still under construction if I’m recalling correctly. Great video btw!
