Magneto has in the past created an impervious force field while spending days reaching across space to rescue Kitty Pryde from a world killer bullet. Neither eating nor sleeping during this time. Batman and his little gun won’t stand a chance. And this is also assuming a 1 on 1 confrontation. If Max has Bobby Drake (Iceman) and Amara Aquilla (Magma) with him, well, X-Men #11 (from 2020) of the Krakoa Era has exactly how deadly that combination can be. Magma can bring lava to the surface, so let’s say she brings 20 tons of liquid iron to he surface near Gotham, Iceman cools it down, rapidly to prevent the loss of innocent life and damage to the city. Then Magneto has a bunch of broken metal with sharp edges. Whatever shall he do with that? Current/recent comics have had most every mutant running together, you mess with one, you mess with them all.

Magneto was dejected when he found out that the gun Mr. Fantastic used was made of wood. Mr. Fantastic knew that Magneto used his powers on any and all things metal, so he (Mr. Fantastic) figured he could beat Magneto by using his brain (his best weapon) and a little bit of wood.

A couple things 1. That is not how the Red Death gained his abilities, as he forcibly merged that universes Barry together with himself, meaning it’s not the suit that grants him his power 2. Magneto, as a couple other comments have mentioned, can manipulate the metal in the human body, if he is going for the kill, then he will do so with ease 3. Magneto’s power level in this video seems more akin to the movies rather than the comics, with him last year able to survive without his heart due to using his powers to continue blood flow and survive for a limited time, meaning his durability is much higher 4. While in theory the tranq idea would be a decent idea, Bruce would not have access to the red death’s uniform, and even if Magnus is hit by a tranq, it will take more than one to take him down and by that point it becomes a different fight entirely. 5. Why is Batman using a gun?

Better hope this is Movie Magneto, not later comics Magneto. Because comics Magneto doesn't effect metal anymore. He effects magnetism as a whole. His senses can cross galaxies, and his power can tilt the earth itself. Contingency that. Oh. Also. On the whole "rapid fire if first shot misses" thing? If Magneto knows your there, or that he's in danger, you're pretty much done. The speed suit will just make it so you can get away to try again later. Because once Magneto knows he's in danger, all he has to do is put up his magnetic shield and incorporate it with any number of flying objects he needs. It's the perfect defense. There is no soft point because it's a field, not a wall. If he wanted, he could rip the steel out of a car, twist it into metal wire, and have that wire spin around him in a nigh invisible, moving net so he can see what's happening, but still protected. Long story short. Batman be underestimating the Master of Magnetism. Should be a fun fight.

I was expecting a net launcher that's laced with some device that reacts to magnetism. A cloth net that could 'short out' Magneto's power by overloading it with electricity when he tries to use his powers. Yes, I just theorized an anti-magnetic taser net. I know it was referenced, but I find it hilarious if Batman were to threaten Magneto with a wooden gun, but would be unable to pick up a real firearm and do it. Magneto's "inability" to manipulate non-ferrous materials is largely unfounded. First off, Magneto is essentially a mortal god, a mortal with powers and limits akin to a god. 2) he is a human Magnetar, a collapsed star with a massively powerful magnetic field, beyond the limits of what human technology is currently capable of, such are his limits. This and non-ferrous materials can be manipulated by Magneto but it will take more effort, though not outside of his abilities. Though I expect, while his control will have improved massively with age, the strength he needs to accomplish the manipulation of non-ferrous materials, like water, will have waned limiting or preventing this level of control. Mortality and age are Magneto's enemies MORE than anyone could be. The version of Magneto Batman is likely to ever cross paths with is going to be Magneto in his PRIME, likely in his mid 40s- early 50s, where his knowledge, skill and strength will meet at the highest possible zenith for him. Oh, and Magneto makes it a point to keep a few extra bits of iron or steel on him... just in case. More he barely needs any metal at all to use as deadly weapon.

I call mutants people with powers that are born already within themselves. Emitters type powers just project their powers forward in some way. While transformation abilities change their body or somebody else’s body in some way. Mutant abilities are the only one to able to be passed down through kids. Magneto simply awoke his power way too soon as he was 10 when it first manifested. Mutant powers usually don’t show until age 15. And under massive duress too. Magnetism was barely understood until the 1960s until we learned how to harness its power for good purposes. We knew a little about magnetic fields back in the 40s but not a lot. Now we have theories on a universal scale on the role magnetic fields play even on a subatomic scale. We still are testing them little by little though. But now it’s a known fact that magnetic fields play some role on earth just we don’t know all of it yet.

This is the first contigency plan I have seen that simple wouldn't work. Magneto's stops everything includeing non ferrous materials. If you catch him with her force field down the armor he wears is reinforced with his magnatish. It has wishstood multiple direct his from Colossus. If you could catch him without her armor or hit in the exposed face this could work.

The transport would have to be non metallic once you drugged him and also remember in the first x men movie the guard was injected with iron when he went to the bar and then he comes back to work and magneto senses the metal in his blood and pulls it out of his body so in order to guard him not only does the cell have to be non metallic but the guards would have to not have any metallic implants in their body like screws or knee replacements
