I played through the N64 version, beat it, and still have PTSD over how badly fucked up those controls were.

I remember renting this game as a kid, at the time I thought it was okay. Now I gotta be honest, it's probably one of the worst Batman games ever made. The N64 version is actually superior to the PSX version because it didn't have loading screens, you could also choose what fighting style you want to use at the start of every level. (defense, staff, nunchaku, etc.) That's it though, everything else is identical, it doesn't fix the gameplay, controls or story. What garbage...

Batman Beyond Return of the Joker is a pretty good animated film. But this game is like a half license cash grab. Like they got the license to make Batman Beyond game... but the music and everything else have to be a knock off sound alike. This Batman game makes Fighting force feels and look like X-men the Arcade game.

I remember playing this game as a kid, renting it from Blockbusters, along with Gotham City Racing (or something like that), I could never get past the first boss. Even today I still appreciate the art design especially in the loading screens but fuck this game was atrocious.

The thing is game developers got away with stuff as there was no internet reviewers n platforms dedicated ti enlightening the average gamer. Buying gamns was like russian roullette. In revers. Five outta, six times u got fd.
