Batman is always serious, however, he is still caring and kind. He lost everyone in his life, his parents, Alfred, his friends, and his sons. Some of his friends became evil who followed Superman (two-three who regretted joining), and one son, who he disowned for killing his first adopted son and for joining Superman. Luckily, he has few friends are still alive and one son left (the one who needs come back into his life and be a family again).

I think with most of the characters, a lot of dialogue was recycled, and repositioned for different dialogue exchanges. Then, characters that are more connected also have specific dialogue exchanges. Edit: It'd be a lot of work, though not impossible, to have each character have personalized dialogue for every other character.
