Hello! Thank you! For this sheet I didn’t use references. These are from memory but it’s important to use references to memorize new poses as well as accuracy. Watch my shading video the Tmnt Rafael one it includes a tutorial. I determine light direction and follow the form of the subject, I simplify the lighting and shadow that part is instinct. I’ll sometimes overlook accuracy for the aesthetic as far as where to place lighting and shadow while still following some sort of light direction for believability. Doesn’t have to be 100 percent right, just needs to look right👍
