What he said about how fear works and how to deal with them is actually very close to real life psychology theories in phobia therapy. So, it's not really a philosophical thing, only easy to understand psychology theory.

These vids help me with overcoming my severe OCD. It takes over even my favorite things in life, obfuscating my perspective to the point I doubt every movement I make. But I don't want to give up. And I know I can overcome it, because I've overcome OCD cycles before.

There is another Calming Technique that I copied off of Star Trek TNG, which was with two fingers and place it on a specific spot behind your ear and just repeatedly Tap It. And let me tell I've tried it and it works it has gotten me through quit a few Fearful situations. Reference Counselor Deanna Troi 'Realm Of Fear' (S6 E2). And another Technique I like to use is obviously the good old Happy Calming thoughts Technique.
