You can also buy a 'Battery eliminator', that slots into the battery compartment and then converts the toy into one that is mains powered and plugs into the wall. You can get them on Amazon for about £10. They come in various configurations for AA or AAA powered toys.

I was really wanting this. I have the Batmobile, the Batwing..every figure made so far so it only made sense to buy this as well. But after seeing about the battery issue and not being able to just leave them on, as well as the decals I might pass. I see the decals becoming an issue after a while. This would have been awesome just to sit and leave or something but I see the decals fading or even becoming brittle over time. If Alfred would be sold separately I would totally buy him..I know DC didn't think he'd be too popular as a single buy so this might be the only way we see him being released. That is a huge bummer. But great review! Thank you for so much info as always!

I noticed the cabinet door handles were a little low. Could the cabinet be upside down? That’d fix your scratch and give you more space for Alfred’s tray and the cabinet door handles would be higher.

Hmm, I guess they do have it reversed in the pic on the box, but I actually think it looks better this way, not that its a big difference either way. But to me looks more like how a cabinet would actually look in real life. Would fix the scratch problem though.

That is one giant playset, in a time when playsets are going the way of the dinosaur. The only negative I can find is the color of the computer, I just hate that color but I give dc collectibles a nod for adding a Tony Zucco sticker, a episode specific sticker that is pretty cool.

My guess most of the decals are episode specific, though don't expect me to know them all :) I think the color of the computer goes well with the backdrop.

One of the most amazing things that they ever made. Sure the screens things is not ideal, but on the bright side, you can pretty much either use the ones provided or even make your own if you have the means. The possibilities are endless. The backdrop is a plus. Yes it is pricey as all things DC Collectibles, but to me is totally worth it. It would be my dream coming true having this alongside my Batmobile. They must make the motorcycles with extra head with helmets and flipped capes. Would be just amazing. A Batboat would also be very cool.

Batboat would be cool but my guess they figure it wouldnt sell well. A boat without water an all. Butting a 6" scale boat in your bathtub would be kinda difficult :)
