I love Danny Elfman's theme for "Batman: The Animated Series", but Shirley Walker's theme for Batman is just amazing. I also loved her theme for "Superman: The Animated Series". She was awesome and was my favorite female composer.

Everyone thinks the Danny Elfman theme is the BTAS theme. No. It's really not. THIS is the Batman theme of Batman: The Animated Series. Elfman just did the music for the original intro. Shirley Walker did the actual theme.

Has anyone noticed that in the first season they used the 1989 batman theme song for Batman tas, but when Batman:mask of the phantasm movie came out they started using that theme song for the show on later seasons.

This song is also used mostly in episode 10 nothing to fear episode when he is battling Scarecrow, and right after most famous scene in the whole series probablly, when Batman says the famous: ''I am Vengeance, i Am the Night, I am Batman''. opening theme is Batman 1989, but whenever Batman is in action this theme is heard which is his definitive theme.

0:25-0:55 it is Batman, this is Batman theme, it has never been toped and never will, 1:05 to 1:30 also. It sound's so triumphant but dark at the same time, Shirley Walker understood Batman and that motif like no one else. Its used whenever Batman is fighting like other comment said, and it is used in series most defining moment when Batman says the famous I am Batman, it is also used when in Batman Beyond Bruce suits up one last time. This IS the main theme of the serie's, opening is Tim Burton theme which is good, but nowhere near this Shirley Walker masterpiece music
