@@shahidshaikh7438 No one is guilty until they did something guilty. I mean it is not a sin for Superman to be born with his super power, just like other hero. Batman is also a monster to be feared if he goes astray too (we saw it with Owlman, Batman counterpart in other dimension where he is evil). I agree that preparation is needed in case metahuman is brainwashed or turn bad themselves but killing them off just because they may be a threat is too paranoid.

@@sambridgers9543 Razzies have nothing to do with somebody being a bad actor... but playing a bad part in a movie. Just to name a few celebrated actors that have won or have been nominated for a Razzie through the years: Michael Cain, Anthony Hopkins, Richard Harris, Richard Gere, Al Pacino, Sean Penn, Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio... and many more good actors... haven't even looked at the list of actresses. I don't know why people had a problem with his 1% chance statement, are they not aware of what Batman did in the comics? He literally had a contingency plan to take down the entire Justice League(main members) because he knew there was a possibility that they could one day turn against humanity. This mentality is right up his alley.

True but I think its the whole "and we have to destroy him part" that rubs peope the wrong way. Having contingency plans to kill someone if they cross the line is a little different than being 100% about to kill someone regardless of whether or not they already have because they might. One is being prepared for a worst case senario, the other is actively courting that worst case senario. It makes Batman come across as someone who just wants an excuse to kill and a lot of people take issue with that. Regardless of how you feel about Batman killing in the first place ( personally i don't really care that much ) this kind of rash behavior doesn't feel like the Batman people know.

It’s not wanting to off Superman. It’s because he sounds like a scared, whiny little bitch about to piss his pants. Batman is supposed to be calculating and brilliant but he would not be able to do half the shit he has done in the comics if he was a scaredy little baby like he is here.

Did anyone notice that his voice changed to Batman at one point. This movie did a good job of showing how he became too much like the bat, and was slowing losing his human essence. This wasn't a Batman that just started his journey. This is a Batman who's been fighting crime for a very long time and has seen the worst of the worst and it slowly changed him over time. It took the innocence and sacrifice of Superman to bring Bruce back into the light.

Analysis: 0:30 - "it's a weapon". While everyone see's Kryptonite as Clark's weakness, Bruce looks at it as a weapon. The hunter's mindset: Instantly weaponizing an opponent's weakness. 0:32 - the RED SCREEN in Bruce's background depicts RAGE. As Bruce starts to expalin the Kryptonite, the schematics of the batmobile disappear on the screen, showing that Bruce is transitioning from a Raged + Technical mindset (as he was repairing/modifying the batmobile), to a purely RAGE fueled mindset, when alfred asked him what's in the ship. 0:53 - the background shows Alfred's mindset. The dark background behind him signifies how he knows that Bruce's future is dark, because he's going to war with a literal God. The 2 small lights at the lower right end of the screen are two little rays of hope, 2 arguments Alfred makes hoping to chamge Bruce's mind at 0:52 and 1:27. 1:03 - Bruce's voice transitioning to the Bat's voice. Showing that Bruce's rage is boiling to an extent that it's spilling. and Bruce is turning into the Bat, even without the mask. He's losing the rational, human side and is transitioning to a rage fueled monster. 1:08 - Bruce tries to Justify why he wants to kill Clark by pointing towards the people who died because of Clarks and Zod's fight. While in reality Bruce is scared. He wants to kill superman before superman kills him/humans. just like a rattle snake bites as a preemptive strike. 1:16 - Bruce explains Existential Risk. A Statistical cconcept, where the risk of something existing far outweighs the benifit. Superman existence posed an extinction level threat to the humans. While he's existence showcased trivial benifits. 1:32 - he's done believing people. He knows promises don't mean anything. This Bruce is extremely cynical, worn down, tired and black pilled. 1:37 - people are dead. And he believes he has fallen (as mentioned in the epilouge/starting of the movie) and that he isn't a good guy anymore. Plus Robin is dead. 1:41 - people change. Just like harvey. he knows that people can be easily corrupted. The joker is right for most people.

Great scene. The whole "Martha" scene/moment is when Bruce Wayne realizes what he has become. He doesn't realize how far he has fallen here. @@FardeenRiyadh16 I kinda said all that, but still nice detailed analysis. It’s just a lot to take in first move is all. Especially when all of these are side details you have to pick up on yourself. Especially when this was sort of the dc universe debut. So we all thought it was gonna start ground up like marvel building the characters from day one and getting to know and love them and then see them change (like cap vs Ironman was worked into over years and so the impact was felt better and it didn’t feel random). But yeah Snyderverse was awesome and I wish it was able to continue and also be unhindered from studio tampering 😢

This scene to me cemented Ben Affleck as the most comic book accurate version of Bruce Wayne, the way the intensity in his voice rises when he talks about there being a 1 % chance that Superman is their enemy is just sheer badass which is saying to me that this guy isn't taking any chances with a super powered alien. I love the way his voice soon calms when he talks about how much promises are worth, the how many good guys are left? line I thought was an awesome hint about Harvey Dent becoming Two Face which shows you just how much faith Bruce has lost in idealistic men. Awesome back and forth dialogue between both of these guys and mega props to Jermey Iron's peformance as Alfred who also really owned this scene. I can't wait to see more from these two in future DCEU movies.

Thematically analyzing this movie is amazing. There is always something new to find, especially when looking at this as Bruce's rebirth arc. Not a Superman story. But there is a huge foreshadowing moment when Bruce mentions the "20 years in Gotham Alfred, we've seen what promises are worth" line that doesn't hit me until the actual Batman vs Superman fight sequence. Bruce/ Batman is tired of trusting in people, and believing in others who only let him down. He knows people change, and he knows that a promise is worth bat shit anymore. Until he realizes the monster he's become and makes a promise himself to Superman - that Martha wouldn't die that night. People clown on this movie for being edgy, but it is grounded in realism and symbolism which I incredibly adore and admire. At first, i thought this movie was garbage... but I've grown to love it after watching the Ultimate Edition twice and sharing empathy for this broken and battered Bruce. Powerful scene.

After thinking about it, this is my explanation: Superman said "save Martha" on purpose because he knows Batman Is Bruce Wayne and therefore he knows that Bruce Wayne's mother is Martha Wayne. "Save Martha!" not only mean save Superman's mother but also mean "Save your humanity, Bruce !"
@jdal21
@jdal21 5 жыл бұрын
imo he said it because its his "earthling mother", if he said 'save my mom' it would refer back to his home planet Krypton, so by saying that name; Bats would think that its an "earthling name" rather than another alien which brings Bats to wonder - 'Why did you say that name!'

You know what makes Batman unique to every other superhero? I do not think anyone movie has truly represented Batman. He is such a complex and compelling character. And every time someone makes a movie or TV show about batman they focus on a different aspect of Batman. I really like this because It allows writers and directors to openly express Batman within their own scope and vision. Instead of having your own specific idea of who you want Batman to be, you should openly think about what each Interpretation of batman is showing you, even if it is something you don't think is in your ideal version of batman. Once you understand that, you will appreciate and maybe have a more understanding of who batman can be for others.

Definitely watch the Ultimate Edition. From What I've read and heard about, the Ultimate Edition is the version Zack Snyder wanted to be released in theaters but WB wanted to maximize the number of screenings they could have per day and had 30 minutes cut from the movie in order to make that happen. Thus so many things ranging from minor distractions to huge plot points were cut from the version everyone saw in the theaters. So definitely if you are given the option, see the Ultimate Edition. I like the movie and I can admit it has its problems, but overall the real version of the movie we were meant to see is very good.
