To say Super Man would freak out the second he faces any kind of real resistance is foolish and overly pessimistic, which Batman was for the whole movie.

It seems as if none of you have seen the movie, at least not recently anyway. Batman wants to destroy superman because ever since superman came there has always been death and destruction. The fight with Zod was a testament to that fact for Bruce that superman's presence was dangerous to earth. And throughout the movie Lex Luthor makes sure that wherever superman goes there is death and destruction which is why even Bruce ends up believing that superman is truly evil and needs to be destroyed.
