I like that it's black, but not TOO black. I saw a Batmobile at a car show once. I don't know if I still have a photo of it. I know I took a shot of it because I had to try three times to get a somewhat clear shot because people kept gathering around it! lol

Amazing work and I have the same kit as well but I haven't build it yet because I'm currently working the Batman & Robin Batmobile to figure out how to add some lights....It'll be awesome if you built that kit and did it your way

If I remember correctly, there wasn't much difference between the '89 Batmobile and the Batmobile in Batman Returns. I think the main feature of the 1992 model was that the sides split off and it became a rocket racer/"Batmissile." Don't see that Batmissile here, of course. It's been a design I've liked since 1989 even as the Burton films haven't aged that well. The Batmobile design and the music were the 2 best things from the 1989 and 1992 movies. Probably my second or third favorite Batmobile. The 1966 Batmobile/Futura is my favorite, and then the 1992 animated "Tankmobile" version which I prefer to the 1997 animated Batmobile which looks like a customized generic race car. The model came out nicely. The lighting worked out and the cockpit was well-executed. I guess everybody has their vision of the Batmobile -- I thought it was a glossier, darker black than this but at night time dark slate grey and glossy black won't look that much different!

Thanks for watching. I remember the huge panel lines on the tailfins as they met the body of the vehicle being the biggest issue. It took a lot of work to get those fixed.

@eaglemodels that very well may be but you still used the wrong kit for the 89 build. Call me a purest but each kit is made slightly different.

That's a cartridge holder for a tazer gun. It prevents the tazer cartridge from popping open during storage and releasing the wires, harpoons, and little circular papers (chads) that are the serial number of the cartridge prior to attaching it to the gun and deploying it.

Absolutely love it! With it making a return in the Flash movie, I decided to start working on this kit. Did you have any issues with the canopy not fitting? That's the biggest complaint I've seen about this kit. Just found your channel and have subscribed. -John

Awesome paint job on the batmobile. Very neat-looking. But, is it possible to polish up the window shield? Seems streaky or "fogged up". Or is it just reflecting light? 🤔🤔🤔

Thanks, I think it's just reflection, I cleaned it before I put it on. I can remove the canopy, it's not glued down.

After seeing this one, I am going to have to give you another Shout Out.........................I love it!! The lighting and the colour is just right mistake or not. I was hoping for a Batman figure to turn up inside or standing beside it at the end. The other Batwing comes with a figure, if you haven't seen it already check out Trek Works channel, he just did one up. Whoever gave you a thumbs down must be a...........................Joker

I'm really bad at math and using formulas. How do you go about lighting? Specifically, how do you figure out what power source and or what size resistors? I know.. use ohms law.. bit again I failed math class over and over. I haven't found a good app for dummies like myself

An easy way to start is to buy prewired LEDs, the resister is already attached. They run well on 9volt batteries or you can use 12 volts...8AA batteries will produce 12 volts.

Nice work! What did you use to fade out the seems on the wings? And did You say You use house hold bleach to take out the chrome colouring? And how did you prime the body before painting it black? Thanks a lot :)

Thanks! I believe I used Tamiya putty and a lot of sanding on the seams. Yes, regular bleach to remove the chrome. I believe I used a spray can primer.

Yes. It has to be thinned down to a milk-like consistency. Tap water works the great in thinning it down. Thank you!

Regular bleach will strip it right off, just wear gloves and protective glasses.

Looks great!!! You did an exellent job with the seam on the fins, what did you use to fill it? I never managed to get the ones on mine anywhere near as good unfortunately.

I used black with flat clear coats. The movie car looks to have more of a satin finish.

Sorry man, I don't remember how they went together. Seems like the front and back were completely different. I no longer have the model.
