Bato Balani Festival Dance Competition - Bato West

The Bato Balani Sinulog Festival is a celebration in honour of Santo Niño (the Child Jesus) and features dance rituals celebrating the coming of Christianity to the Visayas. The word “Sinulog” means a graceful dance- a rhythmic forward and backward motion that represents the “sulog” (or current). One of the highlights of the festival is a dance competition held close to Bato Baywalk.
