BATTANIA FOREVERAAAAA! Or at least until the Empire, Vlandia or the Sturgians decided to take us out!

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is the eagerly awaited sequel to the acclaimed medieval combat simulator and role-playing game Mount & Blade: Warband. Set 200 years before, it expands both the detailed fighting system and the world of Calradia. Bombard mountain fastnesses with siege engines, establish secret criminal empires in the back alleys of cities, or charge into the thick of chaotic battles in your quest for power.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is an action role-playing game with strategy elements. The fundamental gameplay premise is the same as previous entries in the series: the player builds up a party of soldiers and performs quests on an overhead campaign map, with battles being played out on battlefields that allow the player to personally engage in combat alongside their troops. Bannerlord, however, includes significant improvements to numerous elements of gameplay.
Sieges in Bannerlord are intended to be more strategic than they were in Warband. The player may construct a variety of different siege engines and strategically position them before the battle begins in order to target certain sections of the enemy fortifications. On the overhead campaign map, the player can choose to bombard the walls, possibly creating breaches that can be used once the battle begins. To discourage prolonged bombardments on the battle map, only the merlons, gatehouses, and siege engines will be destructible during the actual battle. The design of the defending castles and cities is intended to be biased in favor of the defenders; for example, murder holes are often located at key chokepoints, allowing the defenders to slaughter large numbers of the attackers before they can breach the gates.

Truly great video!These last ones are getting better and better. Also since you like shouting your actions there is a mod that lets you use voice commands instead of keyboard shortcuts over at modnexus and surprisingly it works. Took me some 15 minutes to "train" my computer to recognise my voice but it's so much more immersive.

I just want to say the Sturgians are actually just the Proto-Vaegirs. The Nords actually come from another continent. This is set shortly before the Nord invasion, back when the only traces of them were small mercenary companies often hired by Calradian lords.

@@johnsullivan186 If the Nord invasion has happened, then why are there no Nordic place names, lords, clans, or kingdoms? A group of people coming to a new land for fame and fortune isn't an invasion. How much sense would it make for the Nords to come and integrate into Sturgian culture only for the two groups to somehow become unintegrated again by the time of Warband? The answer is it doesn't. Everything I've seen states the Nord invasion itself has yet to occur, but there still are Nord mercenaries and adventurers in Calradia. If the Nord invasion had taken place, then the player would be allowed to play a Nord since Nords clearly do exist as their own entity in the game.

Sturgians are based on kievan rus, which were a mix of varangians, slavs and norse tribes. So the sturgians do have some norse aspects to them. Saying that they're a mix of both the nords and the vaegir is correct both from a lore prespective and a gameplay prespective.

When you have around 15 - 20K cash buy a caravan. (A caravan requires one companion but it is very good, in the start you have to pay quite a lot of money because the caravan isn’t making any profit yet but when you do......... You’ll see.)

Fucking love this game all ready!!! Been playing it to pieces since i got it ^^ Started as Battanians as an Bandit helping em out. But they got raped by Vlandians coming in with couple of K stacked armies swarming over our lands while our ruling generals thought it was a good idea to thin em selves out way far south trying to kill Empire.... so i had to work for Vlandians instead or well using em to sell stuff from all the raids ^^

I started a battanian campaign and within 12 hours the vlandians completely took all of the battanian lands now i’m 40 hours in and we still have taken back no castles and vlandians have taken over the nothern empire. Not sure what to do don’t want to abandon my boys but really haven’t the ability to take out the scary vlandians.
