Your channel is fast becoming one of my favorites because I have two Evos and almost no one talks about the Evo 1 anymore. The Evo 1 is perhaps the best balance in features, performance, and price. But like I said in another comment, the key to making the Evo 1 have a long life is the batteries. If someone can figure out how to rebuild them I think a lot of money can be earned. I have subscribed and am anxious to see part 2. Thanks.

Have experienced several bad batteries. 2 almost simultaneously. Not software or firmware related in my case. Both batteries had about 40 cycles and a little over 2 yrs old. Treated them well too. New batteries work fine and hope they will continue to be available for awhile longer.

Quite typical issue on Dji Mavic Pro batteries after off-season storage. As soon as one of the cells has more then 150mV deviation from anothers, it throws an error and motors could not be started. Such an issue could be fixed by manual cells balancing.

This worked for me on 3 batteries which reported damaged… I put each battery on the drone, turn on the drone and let the battery discharge until the drone shuts off. Then put the battery on the charger until the battery shuts off at full charge. Then put it back on the charger hours later (after it cools) until full charge. Then contrary to Autel's instruction, I put the battery back on the charger and hold the battery button for about 30 seconds then let it go. Autel says to hold the button 30 seconds while NOT connected to the charger and then connect it. The method of keeping it connected while doing the reset seems to be the trick to force the BMS to balance charge all the cells. I've had to do all these steps at least twice for each battery, discharge on the drone, fully charge, reset while on charger to balance charge. Then I test them on the drone while connected to the controller and the phone app to see the balance of the cells. I also had success in one instance simply by leaving a damaged battery connected to the charger for 2-3 days.
